I like to think Sparkplug does woodworking in his free time (if he has free time). Ratchet doesn’t really see the appeal, but he’s always interested in what Sparky whips up.

Both of them carry trauma, but Ratchet’s been alive so long he’s compartmentalized most of it.

By comparison, Sparkplug isn’t millions of years old, and between helping the autobots and raising a son by himself he hasn’t addressed his trauma, but it likes to show itself in his nightmares.

Ratchet couldn’t take his pain away from him, but at least he could hold him through it 🩵
