Okay I'm tired (it's 2am woooo) and I haven't posted on this blog for a while because a lot has happened in my personal life. Biggest update, I started HRT on January 2nd! But enough of that.
I've been working on developing my own fan continuity and working on my designs. So far I've only really drawn Megatron and Soundwave (and I'm planning on tweaking Soundwave's design soon.) But the biggest one I've been developing recently is Optimus.
So who is my Optimus Prime?
To put it simply, he's a brainwashed dog of war. When he was Orion Pax he was taken under the wing of Nominus Prime and fed lies about Megatronus to make Pax turn on the one mech that was keeping him on the right path. Orion became infatuated with Nominus becuase of all of the manipulation and twisting of ideals Nominus was causing within Orion.
Nominus saw an opportunity to create the perfect soldier. One that will carry out orders given without a second thought. His own personal lapdog that lunges at Nominus' every beck and call.
Orion eventually grew as a solider and climbed the ranks to become a Prime as Megatronus grew resentment towards his old friend and began the Decepticon uprising. Orion, now Optimus' only goal? Destroy the Decepticon traitors and "set them free from their torment" by killing them. Optimus well and truly believes that killing the Decepticon's sets them free from their tormented existence.
Optimus is a creature of circumstance. Groomed into the perfect soldier to become the perfect leader. To continue preaching the same ideals fed to him even after his leaders are long dead and gone.
Optimus isn't inherently evil. There's still good in him. He just believes what he's doing is right, and views it with a righteous fervour instilled in him by Nominus.
But to Megatron and the other Decepticon's? Optimus is a terrifying and savage killer. The worst of the worst. The most sinister of the Autobots. Optimus is the image of a savage snarling dog, yanking at its chain and lunging at anything that passes by. Optimus is the hushed whispers of the night.

Keep in mind this is my own fan continuity loosely based on the idw comics. (But very loosely based.) And not everything or every character will line up with what you might expect.
