…how about that Fossilkit, huh? Also changed the colors because I like it much better and I think it fits with FossilClan’s foresty/rugged territory anyway.
I’m aware Cycadswoop’s kits probably aren’t genetically correct but i don’t care. Let me make them cute how I want.

Why did Cycadswoop name him Fossilkit? Especially if it’s considered unorthodox. Was it to honor their home?
She named him Fossilkit to honor the Clan and in a deeper way to prove she is loyal, though she is the only one to doubt her loyalty to FossilClan. This is probably a good opportunity to reveal she was not born in FossilClan, she joined the Clan when she was around 7 moons and befriended Pinepaw quickly.
The reason Fossilkit’s name was problematic was because it is seen as an omen by superstitious cats, which Wooltuft 100% is. They also insisted it was solely because of his name because he didn’t want to say he had seen a vision/omen about a young kit in fear of scaring anyone. Great question!
