I wrote this piece to share a little bit of our treatment journey and highlight the emotions that come with it. Putting together this piece was raw and painful, but I’m hoping it will provide comfort and a sense of belonging to people walking a similar path.

Another negative pregnancy test.

We take our time to mourn and be sad. We think of all we have lost and the copious amounts of hope that have been shattered.

Then we take a breath.

We think of all we have. We count our blessings.

And we try again.

I just ordered my fifth batch of Wondfo OPKs.

That means I’ve used up FOUR. HUNDRED. WONDFO. TESTS.

Not to mention this is not the first brand I’ve ever used. I’ve used 60 Clearblue Digital, 4 Equate brand, as well as 30 of some other off brand, and 50 that had been gifted to me. (Approximately, this is years ago and I’m doing math on the fly).

544 ovulation tests used in the past 4.5 years. (I didn’t use them the first year).

“But Leah. Why don’t you use digital it’s so much easier to read!?”

Because it’s $40 for a 20 pack and IVE USED 544 STRIPS.
