#8 – Courtney’s Living Dolls Shot

Courtney came into the competition with hope, but pretty much didn’t change. I always ranked Courtney somewhere between 6th and 9th, culminating in her elimination worthy shot. It suffered from the exact same problems her first photo did; awkwardness in the body, paired with a disconnect to the face. To show so little growth during the competition is bizarre, and really makes me wonder why Courtney lasted so long.

#1 – Devin’s Veterans Shot

What pushed this shot to the top over Bello was the fact this was actually a decent concept. The possessed shoot was clearly less fashionable, with a higher difficult, but this…this was just posing. Devin took extreme to mean awful, as this just makes me cringe. There isn’t a designer in the world that would consider this shot usable, and it is easily the worst shot of the cycle.

#2 – Bello’s Possessed Shot

I still can’t take this shot seriously. The end result is so comedic, and so bad. Bello’s haunting eyes should have carried him through this; it really was his shoot to lose…and lose it he did. The pose is unflattering for such a short guy, and the face is wild, but not in a good way. Had Bello done nothing with his face, and just some simpler pose, this shot could have been great. He might have been read for relying on his look again, but at least that is better than producing one of the worst shots of the cycle.

#3 – Devin’s Fierce-a-grams Shot

At the end of the day, Devin is just not my cup of tea when it comes to modelling. Even his strongest shots weren't my personal favourites (aside from his final shot, which even I’ll admit was incredible, and was so close to making my top 10 list), so it is easy to see why those times he truly failed are some of my least favourite shots of the cycle. Then combine one of Devin’s worst shots, with the clear worst shoot of the cycle and…let’s just say I am shocked this isn’t top of this list. This thing is absolutely awful. There is nothing good about it, and it speaks volumes about the cycle that there are shots worse than this.

#4 – Mikey’s Unretouched Shot

Mikey was one of the most consistent models of the cycle, but this was an anomaly. The whole thing just feels so contradictory to the sporty vibe. It is too attempted rocker; it worked in other shoots, but not here. Maybe with a cleaner hairdo – like the one he had for fierce-a-gram shoot – it could have seemed less ill-fitting, but as of now nothing is coming together. It is just an awkward mish-mash, with the styling, modelling and wardrobe all falling flat.

#5 – Ashley’s Possessed Shot

Looking back, this photoshoot was probably the most confusing overall. Hadassah was robbed of first call-out, Ava should never have been up for elimination, and then Ashley and Bello got ridiculously overpraised for straight up bad shots. There is nothing graceful or haunting about this. Ashley’s body is lost, and her face isn’t spectacular in the slightest. Had they wanted to cut Ashley early, I don’t get why they didn’t just cut her here, rather than the next week where she was mediocre.

#6 – Nyle’s Fierce-a-grams Shot

I felt like I needed to have at least one of Nyle’s blank-eyed stares on this list, and not only was this his weakest, but also the concept was so bad, it deserved far more than 2 spots on this list. Nyle just makes no impression on me in this shot. It just looks like some random guy was dumped in the middle of a party, and has no clue what he is doing there.

#7 – Hadassah’s Veterans Shot

I’m shocked this is Hadassah’s only shot on this list. I remember her being so much worse, but she didn’t have many real low points. Even this shot isn’t actually bad. As I said before, Hadassah’s body looks good, but the whole thing just reads as cheesy. The interaction looks like it could have come from Cycle 7’s romance covers shoot. Had the shot been a well-executed, if cheesy, mess, then it would be fine. But then the dead face ruins it too. Hadassah proved herself after this shot, but probably shouldn’t have made it past this shoot anyways.
