7. Nyle

I expected a way better photo from Nyle since he seemed to be killing it on set. I do love the teamwork in this shot between him and the veteran, plus the clothes look amazing, showing his awareness of the garments he was given. The pose is solid, but I’m not a huge fan of the lazily tossed arm. Once again his face photographed well, but he’s just resting on his natural good looks. Another middling performance from Nyle.

#10 – Dustin

I felt bad for Dustin, as the judges pretty much confirmed he did better than Hadassah on the set, yet he ended up 2 spots lower on the call-out. It is situations like this that makes me hates group shoots even more, even if it is an unfortunate reality in the industry. Even with that, I don’t get how someone can prefer Hadassah in this shot. Dustin is giving strength and power, and his face and body all feel committed to the concept. He looks great, though I will admit his jawline isn’t as strong as last week. I think the band wrapped around his forehead looks awkward, but aside from that this is a perfectly average shot all around for me.

2. Justin

Justin’s picture stands out because he has one of the best connections with the veteran co-star without even making physical contact. I love how they’re paralleling each other with the bent leg position, it shows their chemistry in an interesting and creative way. His face is stunning from this angle as well! He pulled off the lunging pose without losing any of his height or messing up the clothes, and he’s selling his entire outfit expertly. Justin seriously impressed me again this week!

3. Mamé

I love how Mamé thought outside the box on set and it paid off with a great shot. There are a couple issues, like the loss of one leg and the distortion of the lower half of the dress. However, her pose is excellent from the waist up and I love how she sold the shoe as well. Her face is beautiful in profile, and the way she’s hovering over the veteran like a guardian angel really sells the brief as well. Mamé did an awesome job this week and was massively underrated at panel.

12. Hadassah

Hadassah’s shot is such a flop. Her falling pose is way too limp and the flailing arm position looks like something an inexperienced figure skater would do. Her face is totally glazed over and there’s no feeling in her expression whatsoever. The only positives I can see is that she does look tall despite being a petite model and her figure looks great in the dress, but otherwise this is a huge mess. Hadassah was lucky to survive the week.

1. Ava

Ava dominated everyone else this week. Her shot is perfect! The dress looks fantastic on her and the backbend pose is extreme enough to fit the brief without being too forced; her wild body position plays nicely off of the strong foundation the veteran is setting with her pose. Tyra was right about Ava looking much taller than her actual height as well! Her face is just heavenly: her bone structure looks incredible and her dreamy expression is so beautiful. The windswept hair is a nice touch and it really makes me sad that they chopped it all off soon after this shoot. Ava blew me away and earned a very clear FCO!

4. Mikey

I docked Mikey a spot since he didn’t connect super well with the veteran, but overall this is a great photo. Strangely enough his hands don’t look too pose-y, and his wide stance is great for showing off the extent of the shorts he was given (he’s modeling the rest of the clothes well too!). His body language is full of confidence and that’s reflected in his face. He’s staring down the camera forcefully and I love how his hair is styled. I think Mikey could’ve been a little more creative, but all in all he delivered a great shot.

11. Dustin

Dustin actually looks okay here and he’s showing the clothes well, but what drags this shot near the bottom is that he appears to be completely disconnected from the setting (he almost looks photoshopped in). His face photographed well, but his lack of eye contact with anything in particular doesn’t make sense, plus his jump is too static and lacking energy. Dustin disappoints for the second week in a row.
