#6 – Nicole Linkletter

This will probably be the only time I will ever put Nicole above Nik, but in terms of natural looks, I do think Nicole had the edge. In saying that, Nicole definitely suffered from “pretty girl” syndrome. She rested on pretty, and that is not a bad thing. She was stunning, she could rest on pretty. Very few girls get to do that. But she was so naturally stunning. I mean her porcelain skin is stunning, it is really beautiful. Then her lips and eyes just pop, the crystalline blue is stunning. The light dash of freckles is amazing too, just enough. Finally her beautiful thick brown hair, just to set off the pale skin. All these features just work so well, creating this timeless, eternally youthful beauty. It is a style that never goes out of fashion, we have seen it crop up time and time again. I mean Nicole looks as good today as she did when she appeared on the show. That is a feat which cannot be understated, as normally looks do not maintain as well as they have for her. So for all I seemed down on Nicole why I was ranking her, I will happily admit Nicole was a stunning girl.

#8 – Nik Pace

Nik is an incredibly gorgeous girl, and she possessed everything I normally love in a model. She is the kind of girl who would catch my eye on the street. She has a beautifully exotic complexion, soft, round, beautiful face with luscious lips and stunning hazelnut eyes. Her look was adaptable too, she could do commercial shots with her gorgeous smile and beautiful skin, but her features were still unique enough to do more fashionable photos, and throughout the competition she nailed both. Her body was stunning too, she wasn’t the tallest, but had great proportions that often gave her the illusion of more height. She really was stunning from head to toe. While I think her honey blonde afro really suited her, I have to admit the darker colourations really make her eyes pop, and gives her skin a beautiful glow. But looking stunning with multiple hair colours proves she is adaptable, no need for one specific hair colour to make her beautiful, or even one specific hair style. Basically she may not have been the most unique girl, but Nik was the kind of woman everyone could agree was stunning. Sometimes just being beautiful is enough, especially when you are one hell of a model. And Nik certainly knew how to put out a stunning photograph.

I forgot to mention Chantal. You also seemed quite biased towards her. I didn't mention Nik because I feel like it's just like a universal agreement that she was the best of the cycle and one of the best overall. Granted you love her more than many others but at least Nik's portfolio backs that opinion. I didn't care much for Nik but I can't deny she was the ultimate model that cycle and one of the best in the earlier cycles.

Yeah, I definitely regret some of my decisions with Chantal. There are just a few shoots I probably had her a place or two too high on (fashion gargoyle, rock climbing and desert shoots seem the most obvious), but I still stand by her being the strongest model. It always seems that for that cycle it comes down to whether Chantal comes out on top, or Jenah. Or at least that is what I have seen from the other blogs.

Yeah, Nik definitely is that most representative of what ANTM wants you to belive a top model is. She was fierce, intense and performed in every situation, but I can totally understand not being a massive fan of that style, and hence not loving Nik.
