1. Renee
This was the perfect combination of the brief and of modeling. Renee looks so soft and so elegant. The lines of her body look gorgeous and the light on her face is beautiful. I like how she took the arm movement and made it her own. It helped her stay tall despite that weird bend in the left leg. She looks like the leader of the tribe and she’s stunning. A well deserved FCO and a well deserved place in the finale for Renee.
2. Jaslene
I like what Jaslene went for. She decided to put her model first and the dance second. She does blend in with the girls and she doesn’t look out of place, which I feel Dionne did a bit, but she’s still modeling. Her face is strong, the hands are strong and I like her fully face on. She looks like the protector of the group. I just wish she has not amputated her leg. Otherwise, it’s a nice photo and she definitely has earned her spot in the finale.
3. Dionne
This is a decent photo, far better than Natasha’s. Dionne has a nice pose. I like the arched foot, although her legs are spread just a little too wide. Nonetheless, it works well enough. The letdown here, is her face. Her expression looks a bit sleepy. It’s like she’s smirking but also her eyes are almost closed and it doesn’t work. I think it was about Dionne’s time. I would have also pushed Natasha into the finale over her but it would not have been like a landslide decision like many fans assert.
4. Natasha
I could hear the crash from how far Natasha has fallen this week. This is easily the weakest shot she has delivered in the competition. Her body looks so small and her face looks so dead. Her eyes are weak, her pose is just bland and there’s no dance or even hint of a model. I’m actually quite surprised that Natasha didn’t get eliminated for this. She fell back so far that I wouldn’t have even been surprised if they did cut her. She had a very steep hill to climb in the finale after this performance. It’s one of my least favorite photos of the cycle.
1. Renee
Without a doubt the best shot of the week by a significant margin. The only issue I have is that Renee’s legs look a bit too short due to how she’s bent them, but the rest of this is shot is phenomenal. I like how she didn’t take her dance so literally and brought her own thing to it. Her pose is so graceful and I love how she’s positioned her arms. There’s a subtle movement to this as well with the curve in her body from head to toe. Finally, Renee’s face is stunning. As I said last week, her profile is amazing and I adore the wistful way she’s gazing off camera. Another killer week for Renee!
2. Jaslene
Th lower half of Jaslene’s photo is problematic. Her left leg is raised in a way that amputates it and I wish she had turned her hips at a slight angle. The rest of this shot is super strong. Jaslene took her dance and added model elements to it. From the waist up her pose is simple and powerful at the same time. Her face is fierce without being too harsh and she’s just brimming with confidence.
3. Dionne
I really love Dionne’s pose. She’s owning her space and bringing movement to the shot. Her limbs all look super long and elegant, and I love how she pointed her foot. I almost put her at #2, but her face is a bit disappointing. I’m not a fan of her raised eyebrow and I can tell that she was self-conscious about looking mean, resulting in a somewhat bland expression. Dionne was one of my personal favorites, but I admit that it was her time to leave. Her photos were consistently good and never really amazing, plus she had to be coached a lot. I’m glad that she stuck around until Top 4 though.
4. Natasha
I know that Natasha was sick, but it’s like she didn’t even try. Her lips are far too pouty and I’m not really getting any emotion from her eyes. She isn’t conveying her given dance at all either and her pose is tentative and a little awkward. This photo would be alright if it was the first or second week, but by Top 4 Natasha needed to perform a lot better. I’m glad she stayed but an elimination for this wouldn’t have been unjustified.
