In this article, all the information about the bike tour
Well, TheLadyBike is back. And, as long as “Life is like riding a bicycle: to keep your balance, you must keep moving”... from the beginning of this blog, I moved a lot! Now I decided to keep it fresh again, telling you the main steps I did in this two years and the news this 2016 is taking with.
Well, the first news is that this blog will be held in English. Sorry if it’s not written so good...but I guess, everybody will understand what I mean ;)
2014: when I started this blog, I was a 38 years old, and at the moment unenployed, journalist. And I was not a cycler. But having some free time, I just took my very old bike and went out. I felt in love...
So, I decided to write something about my new love - the bycicle - and the result was, after two weeks I was working as Press Office Manager in a bicycle factory and bike rental: Mathitech & Bikeways.
With the first payment, I went shopping. And I bought one Deluxe e-bike for cycling in the city!
But working there, I had the chance to see and - much more important - try different kind of bikes: so, I felt in love again. This time, with a MTB...
As journalist - in the meantime, I was writing for the city newspaper, about cycling weekends #aruotalibera - I have been invited to cycle in wonderful places. But the best experience was, to attend a course for MTB guides: just a challenge for me! I practised as much as I could, and at the end I got not only my article, but my MTB cycling guide degree!
Practise is better than the theory. Well, I need both (and I’m still writing as journalist and bikeblogger about cycling) but at the end of the 2015, I quit the press office job. My new challeng now, is to work not only, but mostly, as cycling guide: my desire, to take people around by bike, showing the wonderful place where I live and some regions around, in particular to tourists and visitors, but (why not?) locals too...
And a very new project, it is to open something more than a B&B. A Bed&Breakfast - Bike&Boat, in a wonderful family Villa on the seaside, in Duino, Trieste. But this is another story... coming soon on this blog!
how to quickly move specific villagers out without losing your dreamies
[note: like all cycling methods, this does use time travel [TT]. if you’re unsure about that, don’t do it.]
this method is how i’ve been getting specific move-outs out of my towns without losing the villagers i love. depending on luck, it can take me 30min-2hours to get a specific villager. i’m surprised to see this hasn’t been posted before, so i thought i’d write up a little guide. note: this isn’t 100% foolproof, you do have to check for moving pings/rumors and be reasonably cautious. but this method will keep you on speaking terms with all your villagers so you won’t miss their moving pings.
update: the welcome amiibo update changed the time frame of how long before a villager moves out, but moving pings are still as frequent as before. as such, the method should still work, but i can’t confirm because i haven’t had to use this method since the update.
always start on a day that you’re sure nobody is thinking of moving [either by denying a moving request or checking for two of these rumors]. make sure you’re also on speaking terms with all your villagers. this is day 1. for simplicity, i don’t do this at the end of the month so i don’t have to worry about remembering to change the month too. for this example, we will be using june 1st as day 1.
deny a moving ping/make sure nobody is thinking of moving, save and quit. change the clock to 4 days in the future. you are now on day 5 [june 5th in our example]. load, save and quit. note: someone might be thinking about moving on this day but to keep this method running smoothly, we won’t deny the moving request this day.
change the clock back to day one [june 1st]. load up in the afternoon [so everyone’s awake and able to be outside to ping you], and now run around looking for the moving ping. most of the time, the villager should be outside and ping you. this isn’t a guarantee though so if you get a different ping, this is when you have to be cautious and check for moving rumors. it’s also not entirely guaranteed to have someone thinking about moving out. that’s okay. at least 9 times out of 10 i get a moving ping, but there have been a couple times where nobody was thinking of moving.
if you get a moving ping and it’s the villager you want to move, congrats, you’re done! you’re also very lucky. tell them so long and continue your normal play.
if you get a moving ping and it’s not the villager you want to move or you don’t get a moving ping: deny the request [or make sure nobody’s thinking of moving], then save and quit, and continue reading.
now comes the part that can take a while: repeat the process, going between day 1 and day 5 until finally, the villager you want to leave decides to do so.
using this method, you should remain on speaking terms with all your villagers [provided you talked to them on day 1] because as long as you TT backwards to a day you spoke to them, they still believe you’re on speaking terms [you can go 20 years in the future and then TT back to the current day and they won’t notice you were gone... i’ve done it. safely, on days i knew villagers weren’t moving]. we only move 4 days in this example so it’s not as big an issue, but if you were using this cycling method, you would have to constantly talk to all your villagers to get pings again/check for moving rumors with two villagers. i used to use this cycling method. it took forever.
for those curious, i tried this out with skipping 3 days and didn’t get a moving ping nearly as consistently, so that’s why i skip 4. it’s not 100%, but it’s much more consistent. you can skip more [you can skip an entire year if you want] but then you have to deal with bedhead, weeds, etc.
be cautious if you don’t get a moving ping, but you should get one most of the time. stopping to look for moving rumors is time consuming but you won’t have to do it most of the time. and this will keep you on speaking terms, so your friendships won’t be hurt and you won’t miss any pings!
this works with 9 or 10 villagers in town, but does not work with trying to get out the last villager to move in. also, move-out pings aren’t as consistent when you only have 9 villagers; the method still works but may take longer.
i hope i explained this well, but feel free to message me with any questions!
Hi! So I've come across a lot of people who go through the pain of waiting for each individual villager to ping when cycling. So I've decided to share a trick I picked up from someone else. And also a couple tricks I added to it. Here is the ultimate guide to having a cycling town in Animal Crossing!
First: Start with someone in boxes. You may need to TT day by day for a few days until someone pings you to move, and when they tell you the date they're moving, TT to that day so that they are in boxes.
Second: Save and TT one year. Make sure it is just one year. I usually start on an even ending number (like 2012) so that when I first TT a year, it's an odd number. Easy to remember.
Third: Save and TT one year again. This time you will be jumping to an even numbered year since the last one was odd.
Fourth: Save and TT 5 days. Now someone else should be in boxes! Now repeat!
This plan isn't fool proof, because I have had a villager move out once without me knowing. But 97% of the time, if you follow this cycle, you should get a new person in boxes and a new person moved in each time you TT the 5 days! So in short, the cycle is 1 year, 1 year, 5 days, give away / void that villager, repeat.
Here are some other tips I have learned help a lot:
1) Buy everything in Re-Tail upon starting your town. This way villagers won't buy them and put them in their houses making them less original. Then, fill your pockets with flowers and put them up for sale in all the slots at Re-Tail for 999,999 bells, this way villagers won't put items up for sale, making their houses less original.
2) Get your mayoral points/bells quick and build a campsite behind your house just enough so that when you start the game you can see if someone is camping. This way you can go see if you want them to move in or not. If you don't like who's in it, then just continue on with your cycle.
So there ya have it, the ultimate guide to cycling! Sorry if it's too long or detailed, I just want you all to know this life-changing trick and be able to get people their favorite villagers! Go cycle, be courteous, and have fun~
