『If Sebastian does go back to Starkhaven to be Prince after the events of DA2 do you think he'd be forced an heir or would he not even be bothered? Going back may have also meant that he would need to wed - with his vow of chastity & to wed Andraste, would he still uphold them or submit to the mortal laws?』
I do think eventually Sebastian would go back to Starkhaven to rule as Prince (if knight errant is anything to go off of he does), & it is very likely needed. He would probably be advised very strongly to make sure he had an heir, and I think considering the sort of man he is he would likely feel a sense of duty to have one as well – EVENTUALLY. But he wouldn’t be in a rush. I also think he likely would have left the chantry, or not exactly left the chantry, but given up his vows as a Brother post game, no matter what happened tbh – unless in a friend-mance/chaste marriage with hawke (or someone else), I think that’s really the only way he’d stay in the chantry as a Brother. I mean, what happened likely really shook him I’ll be honest & I think at times Elthina was the only thing actually keeping him there. So, while he’d still be serving the Chantry as faithfully as possible, but serving it as a Prince rather than as someone dedicated. I don’t think he’d be on the hunt for someone to have a child with by any means, not for the time being anyway.
However I will say -- this isn't exactly part of your question, but whatever -- I also don't believe Sebastian would be super willing to jump back in the saddle again, despite not having vows of chastity over his head anymore. I think it would likely bring up negative feelings of the sort of life he lead before, the things he did, the reasons he did that, and why he did them, and would be... uncomfortable at best. So, it's not as if he's gonna be like yeah no more vows time to bang. And I don't think he would ever really be thinking of having a child with anyone he wasn't in a serious relationship with, or at the very least trusted a great deal.
