𓂂 𓇼˚。 • ( cierra ramirez , cis-woman , she/her ) ─── was that luciana rivera i just saw sprinting across the quad ? weird — the awkward turtle didn’t leave behind their usual trail of polished mary janes, color-coded study notes, the type of messy drunk that lets it all out … according to their student file, they’re a twenty-three year old senior who’s been studying social work ever since they moved from texas. as the president of sigma lambda mu, ana, is known for being dutiful, but anyone who’s spent a few late nights listening to them blast where have you been by rihanna, around bennet hall, knows just how possessive they can get as the semester drags on. this year, they’ve been oddly obsessed with going out for brunch, typical for a scorpio sign, but still — every time i see them on mtv, all i can think about is that scrapbook/ journaling book they’re always carrying around. BACKGROUND! - (light brief mentions of alcoholism, mental and physical abuse) for the early stages of her life, luciana rivera had a pretty loving two parent household growing up, being the only child, her mother was a stay at home mom while her father worked for the police department. in the presence of her mother's watch over the years, her mother grow a nasty habit for alcoholism which later resulted in a strained relationship with luciana's father-- and soon to be luciana as well. when luciana's parents got divorced and her mother kept full custody, she was too young to grasp the reality of her family's situation, she had taken it as her father leaving the two of them to fend for themselves.
academically and socially, it was hard for luciana growing up, her mother had instilled her to not really go out of her way to rely on anyone or take care of anyone but her mother, saying how she'd only be disappointed in the end and used a manipulative example with her father.
it was truly when she had gotten past her freshman year in high school when luciana started to branch out and develop as her own person, not a perfect one but one that was trying. she was a lot to handle, very much annoying to her teachers and peers but they could also sometimes see that she meant well even with her endless quick chatter and awkward hand and face gestures while she spoke.
luciana always knew she wanted to try and do good and stray away from the negative mindset her mother had brought up to her while raising her, social work as her major in college was inevitable. even if she isn't perfect, she wishes to perfect people's households as much as she can in the future.
despite being the president of sigma lambda mu, there's not a serious bone in her body, at least, she tries for there not to be, she's very much can hold leadership but it's not uncommon for it to be questionable on campus.
still, she's always on the move and ready to think quick on her feet with her sorority or anything else academic nor social.
very much a fall girlie in love with all things fall including the colors, weather, media based in it, knitting, baking...
even if she seems to be neatly organized in her academics, her room says otherwise, she's indecisive when it comes to picking outfits so she'll have a mess of a mountain of them everywhere in her room.
has mental breakdown sessions whether alone or in public spaces, still alone though as the norm before amping herself up to get through things.
tries hard to not fit the mold she looks like she gives, and that's being a prude, she parties hard and drinks, which makes her look even more of a mess if that's possible.
hasn't had the best experience with relationships so when she gets a taste of what that'll be like, she can be very much possessive and not want to let go in fear of them letting go to quickly.
a daily classy preppy-dressed girlie on campus but when she's going out clubbing, brunch, etc-- best believes she puts the blazers down.
WANTED CONNECTIONS! - ( not limited to, just what i've came up with alone)
"I can change them" - someone who luciana is smitten by bcz she finds them attractive and it's not subtle at all bcz even the whole of campus knows, but this person and luciana are not seemingly seriously compatible with one another in a serious romantic level, yet she's playfully delulu and seems like she takes every interaction with them to heart but some part of her is being serious and not just playing around. and whether or not this person is stringing her along with consensual no strings attached hookups or the person is oblivious to her feelings, there's clear telling to everyone else that the two won't be endgame, it's just a matter if luciana and this person's relationship continues to grow authentically and lead them into something serious.
"in my head i play a supercut of us" - whether it's another sorority/frat on campus, luciana and this person is a platonic pair that she really needs to ease her of her responsibilities as president of sigma. this person can match her energy well or is the complete opposite of her and keeps her distracted in a good way and brings her to their own world when she's overwhelmed with hers for the moment. they also help her and give her advice with her sorority and things outside of her sorority.
"don't let goodbye come too easy" - this person is luciana's ex partner, there'd be heavy angst, they could have the best relationship but life happens and in result luciana's trying to get over them and be cordial, even be friends with them but that just doesn't seem to be in the cards for the other person and luciana knows that there's possibly not gonna be a second chance with the pair, but this person is someone who she still loves as a person and wants in her life but, she also has to fully accept things and learn to let go.
