Thoughts on new episode

THERE WERE PEARLS, I’M HAPPY

Seriously though, I did enjoy it overall! I’m in a bit of a weird place with the show right now because I really, really did not like A Single Pale Rose. I’m not saying that like “I think the creators made a horrible decision” though, because it was very well executed. It’s just more like “This isn’t the direction I wanted this to go.”

So I’m frustrated that this episode is trying to paint Pink/Rose and her relationship with Pearl in a more favorable light. But beyond that, I do like the way they’re handling Ruby and Sapphire’s reactions, that was wonderfully heartbreaking to watch. And I’m really happy Pearl can speak freely now!!

Definitely hyped for the rest of this week~

Also there was one that made Pearl move super fast and I kind of wanted it to stay that way so she could zoom around everywhere XD

I’m so happy we finally got more episodes!!!!!!

Ohhhh my stars, I loved this...do we call this a bomb? App bomb? XD

It’s not going to be my top favorite arc or anything, but I really enjoyed it!

My love for Peridot and Lapis has reignited, and just the whole way that was handled was really good?? Like I absolutely have hope we’ll see Lapis again, but I think this was an important thing to have happen after they’ve been getting so comfortable with their life in the barn.

Amethyst and Steven trying to help Peridot through everything afterwards was super sweet and that was just executed so well. I want to give everyone a hug.

And PEARL. That one scene. She’s physically unable to talk about some of the stuff? Is that why she had her hand over her mouth when they were talking in the moon base too? I wonder if that’s something specifically implemented in Diamonds’ Pearls or if it applies to all of them? That one moment completely distracted me for the rest of the episode (which was amazing too, especially Garnet) and I’m really curious to see where that goes. I absolutely want to find a way to incorporate it into my fic too.

And short hair Connie is adorable! That’s...basically all I have to say about that last episode XD

I do wish we addressed more of the Homeworld stuff following the trial (or that we do soon), but the show did need to have this little sort of recovery arc for everyone. Hopefully Steven and Connie’s reconciliation means that we’re ready to head into whatever big plot things are coming!

Had an amazing time at San Japan last weekend with @clawrenceon! Here’s a few pics of my Blue Pearl cosplay and all the cool things I was able to buy. The artists alley was really great this year, and I got so many new things to add to my ita bags <3

Speaking of ita bags, I finally found a base to use for all my SU buttons, so I’ll post some pictures of that in just a minute!

I’m cosplaying Blue Pearl in about a month or so and I just got my wig in the mail! It is a testament to my love for Blue that I’m willing to wander around a con with very limited vision XD
