OpenUTAU cover of Ghost Rule by DECO*27 with Mine Laru!

I'm experiencing very mixed emotions right now.
I'm super proud of this cover, I think it turned out really good--I tried really hard on the mixing this time. There isn't really anything I'm actively unhappy with about this cover, which isn't true for anything I've done previously. Maybe the pre-chorus lines could use a little more work on the mixing but aside from that.
However, I am seething at the existence of copyright. I cannot upload this to SoundCloud. It is taken down in less than a minute no matter what I do. I could work around this by pitching it up/down, adjusting the BPM, etc, but are you fucking kidding me?
The fun thing I have learned in the last couple hours is that covers are not actually covered under fair use, so technically using any backing track that isn't created by you is copyright infringement unless you have explicit rights! Isn't that very cool??? It's in the fun area where technically any music publisher could come after you at any time. They usually don't, but they could.
I have a website of my own, I think I will work on just hosting my covers there. I'll miss having stats from SoundCloud or whatever, but I'll survive with just my Tumblr notes.
