honesty has never agreed with him; the idea of being anything but cagey and duplicitous churns his stomach.  transparency is just so… dull.  so simple and boring.  what’s the point in anything if you just hand it over to people – why would anyone ever make things easy?  people don’t learn if they aren’t challenged, and that’s what he likes to think of his nature as: a challenge.
