Sometimes you just gotta pull out the brights and go with it. My Chevronnie Blanket pattern makes any colors look great together, so you can bust through your stash with confidence. I get asked a lot if it's safe to mix different yarns. See those different width chevrons? You can even sneak variegated yarn into them here and there. The shape of the chevron will keep the eye happy even with different yarn looks. As long as your yarn is all the same care type (easy-care is best) and *about* the same weight - doesn't have to be exact - you can mix ALLLL the yarns for this project. Some fluffy? No problem! Letting some sun in today! One of the best ways that I fight the Autumn blues is to lay in the sun for 10-15 minutes every day. Some days I forget, but I try to get out there and soak up the rays. As I type these words, it's dark out, but this blanket is a pretty good sun substitute at the moment! I dragged out all of my stash mustard, yellow, cream, and white, and made this fabulous monochrome color-fade blanket. Autumn colors with a pop of blue is just on my mind lately after that last post. Honestly this is healing my soul at the moment. Color tip: You can create a fabulous look by laying out your colors in the order that they best sing to you. Then for each motif, start with a different color at the center, and then work the colors in the order you laid them out. For example, motif 1 might be A, B, C, D, E - then motif 2 can be C, D, E, A, B - and 3 could be D, E, A, B, C, and so on. This creates a cohesive look that will let your stash shine!
