Got to take my first shower since the surgery! I think I washed all the stink of hospital off. It feels so good to be clean!!

Recovery Day 2

I'm still in pain but it's more annoying than unbearable. The gas they filled me with is traveling towards my back and shoulders. Will put a heating pad on my back shortly It hurts like a bitch to sit up and get out of bed. Read somewhere that holding a pillow to your abdomen helps and they were right I have a very minimal appetite but its coming back now that I've snacked on some plain toast My pill taking schedule is off but I'll hop back on soon Im scared to change my dressings tomorrow since two gauze patches are bloody from yesterday (I hope) I keep feeling like I'm gonna bust a suture open when I get up but that's probably just my paranoia. I'm hoping to recover quickly because I'm tired of laying on my back and having to spend 7 minutes emptying my bladder Also I want to be able to lay on my sides again. I hate sleeping on my back
