My dearest, a prequel to Cytochrome C is desperately needed! I know you said PWP but... There's a lot of plot there đ I mean... Daily injections? Their everyday life working in the lab? How that idea was first suggested and how did Weskies react and what did he think about it? Ah, so many juicy possibilities â¤ď¸
Cytochrome C builds off the AU where you're a fellow geneticist working with Wesker in TRICELL who does your daily T (or estrogen!) injections, but doesn't rotate your spots. Wesker inserts himself into your working relationship when he watches you hesitate nervously with the needle in hand and takes it upon himself, inappropriately crossing boundaries (as a megalomaniac might) to perform them himself.
Your hesitation is a lockpick to the slow crumbling of your work boundaries. Your body's natural response to his confidence and surety and the heaping unknowns you fill in with what you want him to be makes you frighteningly malleable.
This ritual reinforces the relationship that you need him. It is intentional, as all things are. Wesker simply acknowledges and uses intention as the carving blade it can be (he had seen it himself, the way it shaves away chaff).
He's keeping you close because he's lonely in his well-paced and dimly-lit cell; you are a fantastic vessel for his need for engaging intellectual stimuli after the untimely departure of Birkin, and he loves having control.
Craves it, even and perhaps especially because he is slowly losing his grip on himself as time robs his finer edges and leaves him feral...
...and anyway, you are undeniably remarkably intelligent. You'd have to be to work alongside him - Wesker isn't shy about who he surrounds himself with. You don't have the same meddling ego as Birkin did (that living, breathing thing that brought him far too close to the inimitable sun of his hubris and boiled him into his basics), and he'd prefer to keep it that way, so... control, control, control.
The man can lose nothing else. If he must weave your tapestry into his own to accomplish his goals, he will. Your mind is a weapon you don't even consider - he must keep you docile, and he must keep you, to some degree, unaware.
But unawareness can only last as long as complacency withstands. A drive is necessary. He can be the motor.
Sex is one way to control you. Letting him drug you is another. At what point will you have given away the glittering pieces of yourself until there is nothing left to give - until you've given so much of yourself that he can collar you without resistance, a mind all his own to mold as he sees fit?
And, oh, you are so very fit...
