what kind of gaming console/consoles do you recommend for someone who wants 2 get into gaming? now that death stranding is out im really considering a ps4 but im not sure if that's the best place to start!
i grew up in a mostly playstation house and my only experience with xbox wasn’t that great but -
it depends on what kind of games you feel drawn to and what you can pay for, but if you’re most intrigued by the kind of stuff you’ve been finding on the ps4 then why not start with what you’re already interested in? i think ps4s can also play ps2 and ps3 games, so that opens up to a long list of games old and new. i’ve had my ps4 for a very, very long time and it still runs just fine so i’ve found it pretty sturdy. it’s also really easy to move around and has wireless controllers so it’s really mobile for a console. lol
the “console” i’ve had the longest other than my ps2 is my nintendo 3ds. the 3ds can play all the new 3ds games and also old nintendo games... and there are a LOT of both you can usually find pretty cheap. and a big variety of games from a ton of different genres. i had a wii for a while but i felt that the wii didn’t have enough for me to want to keep playing games on it for long and i’m not a big fan of the switch so if that’s your thing it might be good for you but not for me!
i don’t know if i’d recommend a pc specifically for an intro to gaming and in my experience for a very long time, basically for all of my life before i went to college i had a crappy old computer... but it could still run a lot of games i could find on steam! like you generally don’t need to invest in a whole computer to try a few things on some lower settings on what you already have if you figure out what your computer definitely can’t run.
basically the best place to start is what most interests you and you think is the most worth it based on what you like and learn about each console. you can jump in anywhere and you should jump in whatever looks like you’ll have the most fun with to you because that’s what games are for!
