You should work now while you can so that you at least have some experience and something to put on future resumes, even if you don’t work there that long. You should try to convince your parents as best you can because you wont regret it.

I know, that's exactly why I want to work. I have a job and everything, but take today for instance. I have to go in for training on friday and get my work permit information signed tomorrow and my mom was complaining about how it's inconvenient. And when it comes to hours, they want me o work as little as possible. They don't understand that I don't have anything to do this summer, it's a good job, and I need the money to put towards my college fund.
