this is the best i was able to find, i can’t say anything about the context but it looks like edgeworth is having a visceral reaction to that drink

What do you speculate Merla, Avok and Romelle to be like in VLD?

I mentioned this before but I think Acxa is Merla. Like I know that Lauren said that none of the generals are Merla, but consider this: Acxa might not be Merla now, but she becomes Merla later on.

Think about it, whatever plan she has now is gonna fail.(I doubt she’s gonna be able to capture Lotor if he’s siding with Team Voltron) And more than likely, Lotor’s probably gonna be finishing the construction on his sincline ship with the help of the coalition. I doubt that the generals would be willing to side with a group that Lotor’s allied with, so they’re on their own. They can’t finish the ship on their own - they need a team.

So what better way than for Acxa to save a planet or something and become the royal of said planet. She’ll have to take up an alias too, since the generals are enemies of the state. So she’ll go by queen Merla.

But also consider this: Merla in the original was a dimension bender/played around with dimensions. She was also Lotor’s rival in a way, i believe (at least that was what the impression I got after the marriage was put off). And guess what Acxa has? A trans-reality ship, and knowledge of Lotor’s rift gate. She’s smart, and if she has a planet on her side, she can finish the sincline ship and fix the gate, and she’d be hoping realities as easily as Merla did in DOTU. And as of now, Acxa can be considered Lotor’s rival since she was the initial betrayer and she’s the most capable of the team.

There’s also the suspicious fact that Acxa looks a heck ton like Merla in DOTU. Unless the writers are redesigning Merla completely in the reboot, it would be weird to have two characters that are oddly similar in appearance that have no relation to each other (note that all the sameface in the show comes from people who are related to one another: Pidge and Matt, Allura and her clone mom, and well except Keith and Acxa for some reason...).

Now for Avok I had to look up because I don’t know who he is. From what i read on the wiki he’s Romelle’s older brother who offered himself up to become a robeast for the purpose of glory. Now, I doubt that vld gonna go that route because that motivation’s kinda shallow, but perhaps they’ll make him a somewhat redeemable character? Like instead of glory, he offers himself up to become a robeast with the hope that if he does, the galrans would leave Pollux alone. (it doesn’t happen of course, but a guy can try).

Or they can try to make him a bad guy. It would actually be kinda interesting to see a non-galran guy try to claw his way the empirial ladder wouldn’t it? But of course, Zarkon won’t allow a non-Galran to rise to such power, so he transfers Avok to Haggar who turns him into a robeast. In a meta perspective, he gets what he deserves.

Romelle, I actually don’t know much about either. But since there was the leaks, it appears she looks like Allura in design? Anyways, I imagine that Romelle as a character is kinda the opposite of Allura in terms of personality. Where Allura is mostly serious with some comical points (the comically serious if you will) and with a sweeter, more introverted side, Romelle is gonna be the happy-go-lucky genki girl. Very animated, probably talks a lot and very fast. But she has her serious moments as well.Since I never saw the leaks of her and can’t get a personality from her face, there’s also the possibility that Romelle could be the more subdued, maybe very quiet and shy counterpart to Allura.

Regardless, Romelle is gonna have more agency in the show, maybe leading her own rebellion against her brother and the galrans in Pollux. Probably working underground with her younger brother Bandor. She’s not gonna be captured by the galrans, or if she is, it’s because of her rebel work and not because she’s pretty. And if my initial prediction is correct, she’s aint gonna go down without fighting.

You know, Melione being Chrono’s favorite grandchild could be a comedy and a tragedy all at once. A tragicomedy. Melione is his first born son’s only daughter and the one who escaped his wrath, like Zeus who is his you gest child.

Oh definitely. Comedy cause pretty sure Mel would never make the connection on her own volition. People gotta point out to her that she's favored by Chronos before she herself realizes it. Heck, just died to Eris and Chronos's like (you shouldn't be on the surface). Like Bitch? Dude wants obligatory granddaughter visitation rights.

Also tragedy cause Mel would never make the connection on her own volition :/ Raised to be a soldier and all, her mother figure rejecting her outright as a parental guardian. Her romantic life an Actual Mess (affectionate, but also :/) What does she know of love outside of what she can prove?
