fun (?) oversharing fact - when I was four I got violently ill in the Pickett's Buffet after eating chocolate pudding. turned out to be the flu and not the chocolate pudding. but I have felt bad for the waitress for years about that instance. also they sold fake civil war guns/bayonets at the restaurant and as a kid I got one and used to carry it around with me all around Gettysburg and am just now realizing how weird that is and was
Omg im sorry for how loud I laughed at that bfndjfnfjjd. I have thankfully never had a food experience there that was That Bad but I’ve also never had a meal there that wasn’t subpar in some way. I feel like if your whole thing is touristy food maybe some of it should be good? (Except for mr. g’s ice cream. Love u mr. g’s ice cream 💕)
Also, yeah. Gettysburg is such a weird place to me because of how much the entire town seems to both embrace the battle and neglect the human toll of it. It feels like the biggest tourist trap on earth. I went this summer at the end of June and I was there on the 30th when all the reenactors started descending on the town, and it’s just kind of a strange vibe. It’s like a festival, but also like, it’s a festival that only exists because of a huge number of casualties.
Stupid men are the only ones worth knowing, after all.

I like to talk a lot, and I'm a little outgoing. Um, but Ally and I are very similar. You know, apart from the fact that she, you can actually see she's really really shy. We're both really into school, we're both songwriters, we're both incredibly awkward. -- Laura Marano
