ASCI processes complaints against  415 ads,  of which 373 were about misleading claims

  In December 2018 and January 2019, ASCI investigated complaints against 415 advertisements, of which the advertisers ensured corrective action for 125 advertisements as soon as they received the complaints from ASCI.

Nokia's Shivakumar steps down

  As per the latest information, Nokia’s D Shivakumar, who is serving the company as Operations Head for India, West Asia and Africa, has resigned from his post.

Shivakumar spend almost 8 years with the Finnish handset maker.  Presently, he is based in Dubai, and oversees Nokia’s operations in about 90 countries. Now, he is planning to come back to India after the June quarter.

Shivkumar said, "When I joined Nokia, India had about 80 million mobile phone subscribers. Today, there are over 900 million. I believe that Nokia too had a role to play in this along with mobile operators.”

Asha Touch device range introduced

  Nokia has unveiled the Asha Touch family of mobile devices in India, introducing the full touch experience at new price points. The two new phone models - the Nokia Asha 305 and Nokia Asha 311 - further expand the Asha smartphone family.
