Get Me
It was storming outside and Mika couldn’t sleep. Walking through the silent Gilbert house, Mika passed by Jeremy’s room and heard him sleeping, tiptoed past Elena’s room and heard the girl sleeping, and finally past Lucy’s room. It was silent. Knocking softly, she wondered if the hunter was awake. It had been a bit awkward staying under the same roof since Lucy found out, but Mika decided it was good to have the hunter under such a close eye. The room was empty and Lucy was gone. Curious, Mika closed the door and made her way downstairs. The silent house lit up by the flashes of lightning and Mika knew she had to get out and go for a walk. Grabbing her coat, she left the house and made her way down the street.
Before she knew it, her feet carried her past alleyways where she heard the sounds of a struggle through the thunder. Making her way towards the sound she rounded the corner and found the opposite of the struggle she had found herself in earlier. Lucy was engaged in some kind of fight with someone. Lightning flashed and highlighted the person Lucy was fighting with. Lucy was losing. Then Mika noticed the person Lucy was fighting with. Glowing eyes that the brunette knew were not from the lightning graced the opponent’s face.
A slash from the werewolf. Flash. An aggravated moan from Lucy. Flash. A punch thrown and missed. Flash. Lucy falling to the ground and getting back up. Flash. Blood welling from Lucy’s side. Flash.
Rushing forward, Mika tackled the other werewolf to the ground. “Leave her be.” she growled, her eyes glowing as she threw a punch at the werewolf. Highlighted by only the continuous flashing of the lightning, Mika and the other werewolf punched, clawed, and pummeled each other. The snapping of bones echoed through the alleyway between booms of thunder and Mika stood up, glaring down at the other werewolf. “Leave her be.” she repeated and watched as the injured werewolf growled at her, but scurried away.
Turning back to Lucy, Mika pushed her soaked hair back and walked over to Lucy holding out a hand. “You okay?” she asked, helping her up to her feet. “You really shouldn’t fight pissed off werewolves by the way.”
