☼ : A memory my character has with yours that they’ll never forget
Tying her hair into a messy bun, Jaekyung retrieved the coffee from the counter before walking back to her seat - it was late night, and Jaekyung couldn’t sleep despite the fact that she haven’t got enough rest the past week. A sigh escaped her lips before she took a sip of her hot beverage, deciding to do a quick review for her essay; she took out her laptop, and soon she started to scan through the long essay that she needed to print tomorrow.
A pair of black sneakers came into her sight, just right next to her laptop. She looked up at the male as she fixed her spectacles, tilting her head; thinking it might be one of the worker that might shoo her out but instead, her thought were interrupted as he cleared his throat. “Hey, miss” he greeted, small friendly smile tugging on his lips as his hands clutch on the cup of coffee. “Mind if I sit here?
She blinked, noticing many empty tables around them, considering it was eleven thirty at night and it’s only the start of the week. So out of all, why does it has to be her table? It’s as if he could read her mind, he chuckled a little, sounding slightly nervous. “I know there are many empty tables but I thought rather than sitting alone– it’d be better to have a company, no? Sides, I’ll probably just finish my coffee here before going home, I won’t bother you from your work or anything” he licked his lips as he nods.
“Well, you can sit here, I won’t mind.” she finally nods, flashing a small smile as she reached to took a sip of her coffee. The male smiled before landing his butt on the sofa seat across her.
And little did they know, their friendship started from there, through random encounters at late night in coffee shops, the two gradually grow close to be a friend. Sharing random stories, and jokes while Jaekyung would work on her assignment and Micah sharing stories about the songs he’s composing, or the random things occurred to him that day.
« :memory from the past with your character
Jaekyung clutched on her pink umbrella, carefully walking down the slippery road; it had been raining almost the whole week, but Jae is one of the person who enjoyed the rainy weather. After all, she loved the sound of the rain, the after-rain smell, and the hot chocolates served by her mom for each time it rains outside; in conclusion, she loved everything about rain, so there’s no reason for her to complain about it or even dislike it. Hopping over the puddles, she hummed happily, so eager to get home and finally enjoy her mother’s hot chocolate alongside with a bowl of marshmallow that usually came in package with the hot beverage.
As she was just three blocks away from her house, she began to do a little run as the rain got heavier. She pushed her way through the crowd of people, and her frail body got pushed in process - she squealed a little as she was pushed forward, trying hard to balance her feet on the ground though it was impossible due to the slippery pink boots she was wearing. She was ready to fall on her face, before a hand pulled her arm and a hand placed on her waist; she held back her breath as she finally stood straight on the ground. Letting out a relieved sigh, she glanced to her back where she could find a male standing there with a slightly worried look – Jaekyung blinked as she pulled away. He sure isn’t a brit, nor he was an Irish – he’s an asian, and Jaekyung had never seen him on her neighbourhood before. Is he a tourist? Jaekyung shook her head quickly, why would it matter? she should still thank him for saving her from falling flat on her face. As she snapped out of her train of thought, she noticed the person was gone, again, she blinked her eyes before she swept her gaze around the busy street. “But I haven’t say thank you..” a subtle pout appeared on her lips as she gives up on searching, she then continued her walk to her house; not knowing that she will encounter the same guy four years later an the 24hr coffee shop nearby her apartment.
