Defend - I’ll write a drabble of my character protecting yours.
It was a little too late, a little too dark, and a little too blurry. Those were Jiwon’s first thoughts as he stumbled out of the club, two hours or so after his shift. Nothing in his schedule had allowed him to retreat out of town for a few days, needless to say he felt helplessly trapped inside a buzzing, wired mundane body. The only thing he could possibly do for himself in such circumstances were to take his mind off of it, or he might just explode.
The raven-haired male shook his head several times as he slunk through the back alleys, a hiss slipping through gritted teeth at the rambunctious noises of city nightlife, pouring in from the main streets. He was just about to emerge from an alley onto the sidewalk when a blur of a figure knocked into him, nearly sending him toppling to the floor as it blew past. The next blur was much more familiar, though his usually bright features were marred with anger, his yelling indiscernible to Jiwon’s ears.
Blinking several times, he tried to assess the situation, his grey eyes scanning over the scene. He finally recognized the smaller figure as Taehyung, a smile crossing his lips before his eyes flitted over to the stranger who seemed to have switched from defense to offense, lunging forward and tackling the boy to the ground—
And suddenly, it didn’t take but a second for him to sober up, his irises clearing like clouds after a storm. In the next moment, the bulky man was pressed painfully up against the wall with Jiwon’s fist curled into his shirt, a low growl emanating from his lips. He could feel his teeth suddenly digging into the flesh of his lower lip, drawing blood that he barely tasted.
"Don’t fucking touch him," was the low, scratchy warning that slipped past the male’s lips, his free hand traveling upwards until it was closing around the struggling man’s throat, nails biting into the skin with no remorse.
It wasn’t until the burglar’s pupils were wide-blown with fear did Jiwon freeze, his body rigid and his nails still scraping across the fabric, right over a rapidly beating heart. He could practically feel the organ pumping quickly, the blood racing inside the man’s trembling body. His frightened breaths and curses grated on Jiwon’s ears.
Without blinking, the grip around the attacker’s neck loosened, just enough to let the air back in. Feeling his canines retract, though his breathing remained labored, he lowered his hand though the other continued to trap the man against the wall.
Nearly abyssal dark eyes fixed on the terrified pair before him, his head cocking to the side before his irises seemed to lighten up to a shade closer to his usual hue. Taking long, deep breaths, Jiwon pried the record store money bag from the male with no resistance, giving a him a shove and watching him dash off, tripping over his own two feet in his hurry.
With a final exhale, Jiwon turned around and offered the bag back to the younger male, his voice close to normal once more as he asked if he was alright. He turned the boy around and around and checked all over for the smallest scratch or wound before insistently walking him home.
