After Dallas had sauntered out of the bakery leaving him and his mom alone, he couldn’t wipe the huge smile off of his face. She was stunning, smart, exciting, and she wanted to spend time with him. “Mom?” he called out peaking his head into the backroom of the store. “I’m gonna go now, i’ll see you at home!” she nodded before turning her head to smile at him. “Okay, i’ll save you a plate. I hope you’re going to see that girl again, she was cute as a button.” Jace rolled his eyes and left the small shop making his way down to the beach. He wasn’t sure she would even be there, he had just given her a suggestion but deep down he wanted to believe she would be sitting there waiting for him. He picked up the pace, his heart beating a little bit faster as the sand came into view. Jace stepped onto the beach and scanned the people laying out, looking for the red head and when he didn’t see her at first he sat down and sighed. Jace rested his head in his hands, knowing that his thoughts she would be there were ridiculous but he couldn’t help but get his hopes up after their conversation. She seemed happy to see him again but maybe he was misreading the conversation? Either way, he knew he was alone and just killing time before he would take the walk home.
