Well folks, it's that time again. There's a new piece of media starting to take over my brain. Yet another 80's toyline-based cartoon, called The Inhumanoids!
The cartoon's pretty short (having only 13 episodes) but what it lacks in runtime, it absolutely makes up for in buck-wild story decisions due to the writers being given essentially free reign to come up with anything they wanted (as long as it could be put on TV)
Anyway, I drew the main bad guys (the titular Inhumanoids) Y'all are probably going to be seeing more of them in the future

Comic Confessions: As a little girl in the 1980s, the TV show "Inhumanoids" was one of the few shows that actually scared me. The sight of that hand reaching out from below and grabbing the title are chilling and stand the test of time. I mean, I could even tell you the impact that had on me: I used to have images of a hand like this coming out from under my bed or anything else that was not in my peripheral vision when I was scared. I even remember confiding in my mother that it scared me, so she advised me not to watch this show anymore and the “bad hand” go away. And it did.
I would love to see it rebooted because it really is a great series that was ahead of its time though I would not let small children see it either. This show was for teenagers though I would still recommend watching it if you are one or up. Just because a show wasn’t for kids after all doesn’t mean it wasn’t good.
In fact, it should be rebooted because a cartoon like this would be great with some cleaned up storytelling and better character development. It can also be relevant with the times with how we are trying harder and hard to explore the unknown. I would classify it as fantasy/horror though and not make it kid friendly. I say embrace the terror.
PS: Noticed what my mom did? She didn’t sue, rally or make a federal case about it. She simply advised me to not watch a show that bothered or scared me, and that was the end of it.
