"Hey, uh, thanks, again, Lach." Duck mutters, as Robin rushes past him into the house, shouting after himself for Sofie to follow him so they could likely, continue playing in his room and across the entirety of the Romero home, quiet, empty, save for Mallard for the first time in a while. "His sister's birthday's soon, which means so is his, and I'm... dragging." He sighs. "So I appreciate the... few quiet hours to try and get things in order so I don't disappoint 'em." Wren's friends were on top of her birthday- it felt wrong, to let such a milestone birthday go planned by somebody else but- Wren having friends who weren't terrified of him was. a better way to go. "I hope he's not too much, when he's at yours."
He knows how Robin can be- knows he's been odd, since the quake, consistently trying to get up to town to toss things into the hole- he'd been brought home once or twice. "I think he's gettin' stir crazy just like me... How you keepin' on? You an' Paloma gettin' finishin' touches settled? Ain't long now, right?"
