Why are they making our sweet Gojo Satoru in angsts an asshole? I know it’s fiction, and no one is obligated to stick strictly to canon. Writers can explore whatever they enjoy, and that’s completely fine. But seeing him written unnecessarily cruel and rude towards his partner feels so forced. Yes he can be teasing and provocative but he wouldn’t deliberately hurt his partner’s feelings and make them feel insecure. No he’s not that kind of mean. Seeing him like that feels so out of character. That role belongs to N*oya not Satoru. Jokes aside, please think about it. No one really does this to Nanami for example. People usually stick closer to his actual personality. With Satoru, I’d rather see the depth exists in his character. I want to see him yearn, try his best, completely in remorse, deeply in love, falling out of love, hiding his true feelings behind a silly carefree mask, provoking his partner to get a reaction etc. but not hurt or cheat on them and be so smug and careless about it… it’s just too shallow. He is a really complex and well written character, at least I’d like to see his complexity reflected in AUs too.
