I've caught up with Pokemon HZ so I can finally start writing more for them, and they'll be less out of character from now on!!

Hi Hi! Would you consider making a sequel to your spinel x reader highschool au from a while ago? I find it funny seeing him already being a shady weirdo and baffling poor reader ahah

Also I think it's interesting to explore what he could have been like before working at exceed? What changed and whatnot?

Honestly you can do whatever you want with this request but imagine reader seeing him again in adulthood with him being a terrorist and just being like 'yeah that makes sense, I'm not surprised at all by this turn of events'

Or (spoilers for ep 89), seeing his speech on the tv accusing the rvt and just thinking 'oh that's a big fat lie! I know this guy and he's being weird again'

Like idk, I think it's a funny dynamic having the reader be the only person having a good read on him due to knowing him as a teenager

Maybe even joining the rvt if they weren't already just to become a nuisance to him? Or just staying a bystander and watching the chaos happen?

Everyone's talking about what happened to Friede, but what I find more concerning is what happened to Amethio, Crave, and Hamber. Zero information is bad news to me. There's no way Spinel took leadership of both Exceed and the Explorers without a fuss. He's got to have done something to them.

Imo Spinel probably manipulated Crave to give him to company and tried to twist what happened at Rakua even more, something something Amethio bad, or something similar.

Or he probably went like, "Sir, Amethio is too young to lead the company, and I was trusted and trained by Gibeon himself,"?

I honestly don't know why Crave would give him the company,, unless it's Spinel being incharge of the researching part which I can see,,

Hamber is probably still Hamber,, he's probably taking care of the mansion and I think he might still be part of the Explorers doing what he used to, but I honestly have no clue,,

In all honesty- his character reminds me sm of MCU!Mysterio,, Mysterio also made half the population hate Peter.

Hey...I want to start writing headcanons or drabbles of my own, but I don't know where to start? How did you start? Do you talk to other writers and share ideas or tips? But I don't really know anyone.

In all honesty I've always been into writing,, especially fanfictions,, so I don't know what advice I can give if you're completely new to writing,,,

But I started by just mentally noting down things that seemed reasonable for Amethio at the time (as I wrote for him first), stuff that makes sense for his character.

I like to try and pull apart each character to try and find their motivations, main goals, what could've happened in their youth and all that jazz, like, Amethio is mature for his age which could mean a few things like trauma, neglect, him trying to speed up his growing to be more "worthy" of something, or just him trying to prove that he's not like the kids his age. (With Spinel,, I don't think that I proplerly characterised him as there's MCU!Mysterio who's really similar to him). --- You don't need to do this, but I'm a firm believer in canon, so I like to know about the characters I'm writing about inside and out first before I write,

^Sometimes,, you can't really tell much about a character like Onyx, he's just a stoic dude. You aren't really given much but even then I hc him on the more traditional side of things because of the whole "boys don't cry" thing, (I can make a whole post about what I think about characters outside of relationships if you want,, but honestly - you may see the characters differently which is more than okay!!)

^^I also started off with a character I samp for at that time to make it easier. And that's what I'm honestly doing with COD. I'm writing for Roach and Makarov since I simp for them and I know their personalities well. Then I'll branch out to Nikto and Ghost, some other characters I simp for, before I'll gain the confidence to try and write for others.

After getting a general idea of Amethio I wrote my relationship HCs or something based on how I viewed him. You can start with other themes/prompts,,, I usually think of it randomly based on real life events, or I see reels or posts and it's like, "imagine doing that with a partner." So I write it for a character. Or if it's a real life event -like the "pre-exam stress" with Peter Parker- something happens to me and I can see Y character/s being there by your side, comforting you or helping you through it in their own way.

I'm also an avid reader so I take some things I like from the author's style and include it into my own. (Main example is 'Ties That Bind', both on Ao3 and here, I love the writing style so I'm truing to make my writing more descriptive, similar to what the author does).

I've talked to @//minlahzz,, but it was more recently all things concidered than when I started writing,, they're cool,, but it's mostly just comments and inbox,,. There are tumblr communities which you could join, I'm in some, but I'm honestly a lurker, I don't really interact much with others or post there, I kinda exist in my own little space here.

I don't think this helped much,, but I honestly don't know what advice to give apart from just going for it, your writing will improve and you'll gain more confidence. You might write that sucks, but there will be people who will enjoy jt, and it brings you one step closer to writing better,, (I've written some things and I step back and look at it and go like "damn, this sucks." and I edit it and proof read it before just deciding to screw it and post it anyways).

I came across a fic writer quite some time ago who shared requests they weren't doing/didn't get to allowing anyone else to write them if they wished.

No idea whether this is something that suits you or those who've sent you requests.

I don't think requesters are really going to get upset by someone else writing them? Especially the vaguer requests and having no OC's the requester could claim. At worst if they didn't like it they could ignore it?

Not gonna lie I understand both sides,, especially if someone really wanted a specific person to write their req,, and I also understand that some fanfic authors might not know how to write something,,

I have a doc somewhere that's just stuff that will never see the light of day, but it's usually non requested stuff,

Tbh I'm going to try to complete every request if I can,, and so far I've only actively ignored two and deleted one of them from memory (Someone accidentally calling reader whilst they (cc) are bathing,,, it felt too suggestive, even if nothing happens)
