This is Fine Molds 1:48 D4Y4 Judy, the final Kamikaze version with the radial engine, permanently fixed 800kg bomb and terminal booster rockets, as it was used during the battle for Okinawa in April 1945. The display stand is a wish plaque from the Yasukuni shrine in Tokyo. This shrine is the main war memorial in Japan today. During the war the saying was, that Kamikaze pilots would find their peace among the cherry blossoms at the Yasukuni shrine. They would return there as "Kami" i.e. Shinto guardian spirits of the nation. A common farewell greeting among Kamikaze pilots was: "See you again at the Yasukuni shrine!" The last pictures show the main building of the Yasukuni shrine, the wish plaque wall and the Kamikaze memorial statue.
