“Oh come on!” Elsa’s laugh was echoing through the Frozen Fjords. The arena was completely empty aside from her and him. The circus had shut the gates for the day. And although he had agreed on coming over to spend some time together, he definitely hadn’t agreed to this.
Elsa was standing in front of him. In her hand a pair of ice skates for each of them. Her eyes were shining with excitement. She clearly wasn’t going to allow a no. “That’s going to be fun!” Doubtingly Zachariah looked down at her, crossed his arms in front of his chest and shook his head once. “Have you ever watched Bambi? That’s how it’ll end. I only won’t be looking as adorable as a baby deer on ice.”
A moment Elsa stared at him. It was obvious that she tried to suffocate a laughter. “What?!” Grinning Elsa nudged his arm and wrapped her arms around it, a hand sliding down to take his in hers: “I never would’ve guessed that Sir Bitter from Bitterness himself watched Bambi. Is that the reason why? You never got over Bambi’s mother’s death? It’s just a movie, you know.” Scoffing Zachariah used his free hand to grab Elsa’s chin, tilting it up so that she was looking him straight in the eyes: “Please. Who of us was a mess after last movie night not ending with a happy end?”
With a indignant gasp Elsa let go of him, stepping back way too quickly to mean anything good and in the next second Zachariah could feel a wall of snow pushing him towards the rink. “NO! Elsa, don’t you dare!” he practically yelled. Of course, she ignored him. Only let the snow behind him disappear as soon as he was standing in the middle of the rink. “You really think you’re incredibly funny, don’t you?” “I am funny.” Elsa corrected. She had put her own ice skates on, quickly ran over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning in as though she was going to kiss him.
Instead however she whispered a provocative ‘Catch me!’ against his lips, dropped his pair of ice skates in front of him and ran off as quickly as possible. With that promise it didn’t take long for him to put them on and sprint after her. Skating wasn’t all that difficult, stopping though. “Hey, wha-” Laughing Elsa was about to protest when he pretty much used her to stop, but was instantly shut up by a kiss. Her giggles still escaping. And then something hit him. Something hit him?
Zach could feel the dream slipping away and his mind getting clearer with every second. Elsa’s laugh was getting quieter and quieter and slowly but surely she and the ice palace around her were disappearing. Instead, something red was coming to vision. Anna was sitting next to him, a deep frown on her face and her eyes filled with both confusion and curiosity.
“You said my sister’s name in your sleep. Why?”
Fuck.
