Offhand Dragon Age Fact #1: There is a canonical sign language in Thedas. It was developed by the Silent Sisters. We know not what this language is referred to as, only that it’s basically ASL. Utha, a side character in The Calling (and appears again in the Awakening DLC) communicates through these signs. Her Grey Warden friends have learned it and understand her, too.

Offhand Dragon Age Fact #4: The Dwarves have magically unending clean water by means of enchanted bowls that automatically and infinitely fill up with it. In The Calling, the crew finds one of these bowls in the Deep Roads, and Fiona explains it’s a “simple enough enchantment” the Shapers specialize in. (And no, I am still not over this. Seriously. Why. Aren’t. These. Everywhere.)

Offhand Dragon Age Fact #2: No torch? No problem. In Asunder, the White Spire’s dungeons aren’t lit by torches, but by “glowstones placed in glass lamps.” They have a flicker that emulates flame, but are cold with a blue hue. In The Calling, these glowstones are also used as portable flashlights.

Offhand Dragon Age Fact #6: Flemeth’s idea of landscape design is hanging corpses “like broken marionettes” in the trees around her hut. Maric and Loghain are disturbed to see dead bodies of varying stages of decay strung up above them as they approach her place in The Stolen Throne. When they finally meet her, she calls them her trophies.

Offhand Dragon Age Fact #5: In The Stolen Throne, Maric notes the smell of burning jasmine at the Dalish camp in the Korcari Wilds. He jokingly asks if they roll it up and smoke it... or maybe they just put it in their fire.
