Happy Craft Month! Or is it Umbrella Month? Music in Our Schools month? Noodles Month? Sauce Month? Nutrition Month? Am I just hungry? The truth is all of those are themes for March -except me being hungry, lol- and are holidays that are allowed for requests if you don’t like any I listed in my Google Doc here.

I don’t have the entire month of holidays available, because I don’t have my work schedule for the entire month yet. I’ll add holidays once I know what it is- as it’s too hard to draw a request the same day I have to work early in the morning. So if you’d rather wait a week or so to see what holidays are available, that’s ok, too! Just keep in mind requests are still on a “first come, first serve” basis.

Sorry for the delay in this post! All this Coronavirus stuff has had me a little mentally stressed, and unable to focus well- especially since I work in a grocery store. So far I’m fine, but being exposed to so many people on a near daily-basis is not a comfortable thing. But the mandated shut-in in the County I’m in, and seeing how few people are on the street on my way traveling to and from work has calmed me down some.

I am also very far behind on my projects- so I don’t know if I’ll be able to do everything I specified. But anything I don’t do I’ll add to next month’s project list.

Request people, I only have two spots left- one of which will no longer be available after the date of this post. So if you have a request (that falls within my rules) and haven’t gotten one yet, speak up now or miss out.

Welcome to this month’s poll winning-theme: Decembrrr! Where for requests, I’ll be taking requests of a character doing a cold weather activity from the list below. Please make sure you don’t pick an activity that hasn’t been taken before!

A slight update: I’ve been hired for a part-time seasonal job! Which means I have less time to work on art -which I was doing full time until now (with no other job or school). Some days I’ll be so busy I won’t have time to work on a request, so the request spots will be more limited than before.

In fact, I’ll only be accepting requests when I have my work schedule available to compare, so keep an eye on my status updates for when they’re open or closed. I may close them once the week’s been filled. This month’s request sheet is available to be viewed here.

Decembrr is halfway through, and there’s less than ten days until Christmas! As someone working in retail, that means things are about to get super busy! So it’s a good thing REQUESTS ARE CLOSED, as I definitely won’t be as available to chat and field questions as much as before (not that people talk to me much outside of requests. :( )

Next year I’ll be doing a lot of changes with the request set-up, which should be fun! But I’m sure it’ll take a few weeks before people get the hang of it. Just please read my guidelines carefully, okay?

 My New Year’s resolutions are pretty much the same as last year’s: get into better shape, actually post my original comics, update my YouTube more often. I hope this upcoming decade is when I can start to make a living off of my artwork instead of having to work side jobs in the meantime. Which would mean a lot more updates for you, my lovely followers.

Here’s hoping we all have a wonderful decade ahead (and maybe aliens take over our world and fix the mess we humans have made of it without killing us all)!

If you look hard enough, every day has a holiday attached to it. And this year I thought it would be fun to try to celebrate as much as possible! I’d really like to draw my original, non-fan base characters more often, so I’ll often reserve bigger holidays to illustrate them celebrating, but most of the days are open for requests.

The biggest change is that instead of drawing the requests in order received, I’ll be drawing them on the day of the holiday you pick! But I’ve made changes to (almost) every request rule, so please read them carefully. If I haven’t confirmed your request within 24 hours of your posting it, please read the rule list again. If you don’t understand the way I worded something- or have a question that isn’t covered by the rules, feel free to ask me.

Since this month is a big learning curve for all of us, I’m not going to close the requests until they’re full- but starting February, I’ll only have them open the first week of the month, so make a note of that. I’m keeping weekends request free- but I may allow long-term watchers (6 months or more) to request a weekend date if your Birthday falls on it.

First of all, requests are officially closed! Thanks to everyone that’s interested enough in my style to request them!

If you want me to draw something else, maybe consider paying me through Commission or Ko-Fi? Or see my big art projects 24 hours early with the low price of $2 a month on Patreon?

Making art is my only job now, and there has been no support (besides three $2 Patrons). I would like to be able to continue taking requests and drawing things for you, but I may have to stop to focus on something else that pays if don’t have any income coming in. :(

On the lighter side of things, Did you notice I updated my cover/profile pic? As it is no longer summertime, I thought the swimsuits were a little out of season. I may change it again for October- either all different colored Witches, or traditional Halloween costumes. I think I’m going to have a lot of fun with next month’s theme! :D

Welcome to MerMay! It’s an art challenge I’ve wanted to do ever since I’ve heard of it, so I’m glad I have the time to do so this year. Maybe it’s because Ariel was the first Disney Princess I saw in theaters, but I’ve loved mermaids for a long time. But since I draw fantasy creatures a lot, I’m sure that’s not a surprise.

Not sure it was understood in my last poll that I was asking what you to guess what I would do for May, not what you wanted to see. But there are a lot of anime Mermaids out there, so maybe the AniMay voters won’t be too disappointed.

REQUEST GUIDELINES ARE BACK TO NORMAL! So just let me know what mermaid character you’d like me to draw- and if you’re a watcher, if you’d like a non-mermaid character drawn as a mermaid/man. Watchers have more than one request again, too. :)

Also, send me any Mermay pictures you do and I’ll share them on my next journal! I’d love to see your artwork! :)

Lastly, an art update. Because of my job, I haven’t had a lot of time to work on the ‘April Showers’ poll winner pic. But I will make sure it goes up by this weekend at the latest! I’m hoping I’ll be able to actually get some big Saturday projects done this month, so look forward to those, too!

Welcome back to the March of Penguins! It’s interesting to see how many penguins people have come up with that I wouldn’t have thought of! And fun to fuse Penguins with non-penguin characters, too. I’m sorry my request spots are so limited- but as of this journal posting I still have one spot left! Also, vote in this poll to have a hand on what the last picture of the month will be!

I confess that I’ve been a lot more active posting on my Pony Tumblr than working on my bigger projects, so for those of you that follow me for more than quick color studies, I apologize.

I’ve been working on a ongoing story that hopefully will wrap up this weekend, so my schedule will be more on task going forward.

For instance, I’m going to start drawing Miraculous Ladybug Akumas again. Every Tuesday from now on should have an Akuma- until I run out of Season 2 Akumas (or until Netflix releases season 3 so I can have high-quality references from it).

    I’m also going to queue up the pony comics my (solely) Deviant followers haven’t seen for every day I don’t have a color study planned. So you can expect more frequent updates from me!

I really want to finish the FOH painting I’ve been working on, and I have a Miraculous OC I want to finish, too- so you can at least expect those to go up before March ends. And, oy- my MLP fanfic will update this month too! I have too many projects and not enough time. >.<  It’s good that I having a job that pays me, but I wish I could be paid for my artwork so I could devote more time to my projects.

For April, the request format will be a little experimental, but I’ll go back to my normal rules in May. Enjoy the rest of March!
