Okay, so I’m doing research for the next chapter of Staring at the Sun. Just minding my own business.

Then the muses hit me over the head with this beauty:

I didn’t even think, I just started drafting a non-linear set of drabbles. I’m already twenty drabble ideas in. I’m practically starting another fic. I was just wanting to suggest a couple prompts, but now I’m writing them out. I have other stuff I need to be working on, dangit.

@pinkteepoison , how did you do that?! Why is it this instead of the fic I’m already working on? Thank you, but help.

mob have any particular memories that stick out while saitama was growing up? like any Big Events? :0

Ooh! This is a good one oh my gosh!

Mob thinks everything Saitama does is a “big event” (which is fortunate, because Sai doesn’t do enough to have a lot of real ones)

I’m sure I’ll think of more later but this was one I thought about not long after posting the dab au:

I think Saitama would be the type of kid to take a long time to talk, and kind of just wait until he could say full sentences. So the first time he ever spoke was on a rainy day when he said “I want frog!”- referring to his Dad’s old favorite umbrella that’d been handed down to him. Saitama liked it almost as much as Mob did! He’d always take it outside to go stomp in the puddles.

This is a less fond memory, but for a brief part of his childhood Saitama didn’t fully understand he didn’t have powers, and he definitely tried to fly at the playground a couple of times. Once Mob managed to catch him- the second time he needed some bandaids.

Do you know if there's any Dab AU fanfiction out there? 👀 Like drabbles and stuff.

None that I know of! I certainly don’t have any, at least, hahah. I’ve seen people mention they’d like one in tags, but at this point it’s pretty much an “if you wanna see it then write it!” type of situation.

I know I’m going to draw a couple more things for the AU in the future (including some stuff that got suggested in other asks), but it might take a little bit and I’m not sure if I personally might be adding any drabbles to the thingies.

If I spot a Papa Mobu / Dab AU fic I’ll make sure to share it, tho!

Hi! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the dab au!!

I’m pretty sure that Tsubomi would be Sai’s mother! I think it’s pretty easy to see similarities in how they talk and their facial expressions, (especially in the more recent chapters of the mp100 manga) I think that Saitama’s bravery, independence, and bluntness had at least a little bit to do with her!
