Character solidifying meme: 1-10
1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?
Remus loves his father, he’s always done his upmost to make his life good- especially after his mother died (Of course his father didn’t last much longer, but I digress). But his father did have a HUGE influence on his life, after all…weren’t for his dad, he wouldn’t be a werewolf would he?
2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?
Remus loved his mother. He was always such a mama’s boy, when she died something in him sort of got extinguished… He got his religion from her, his love for muggle things his hope (I mean come on, her name was even Hope).
3. Brothers, sisters? Who do they like? Why? What do they despise about their siblings?
N/A!
4. What type of discipline was your character subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?
He didn’t get disciplined often, because he never really broke any rules. At Hogwarts was another story but at home, nothing ever really happened. He may’ve been sent to his room a few times but…the main thing was how they’d often move around, because of his condition. He definitely felt that was more of a punishment than it actually was.
5. Were they overprotected as a child? Sheltered?
So much, but they still educated him on the world around him and everything like that. For a while they thought he’d need to be home schooled until Dumbledore came to them, but his parents were definitely protective. A young son with a chronic illness, it was hard not to be.
6. Did they feel rejection or affection as a child?
Both, affection from (mainly) his mother and to a smaller degree his father (his father always felt guilty, being responsible for his Lycanthropy) and rejection from…everyone else, unfortunately.
7. What was the economic status of their family?
impoverished, unfortunately. They didn’t have much to begin with but when they had to keep moving around it did not help
8. How does your character feel about religion?
He’s lax about some aspects of it because of his condition he can’t always ensure that he’ll follow all of it, but he is Jewish and does his best to practice. He feels he needs something he can truly believe in.
9. What about political beliefs?
Alright lbr here Remus has anarchistic leanings. He’s anti-ministry, anti-registration, anti-most things these dunderheads do.
10. Is your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?
He’s just a smart fella! He’s got street smarts from moving around from shady place to shady place, pack smarts from traveling with other werewolves, book smarts because, well, he is all about those books growing up– they were his consistent– and he was just born smart, his parents were smart and they taught him a lot when he was young…
