Son Of The Chosen.
Ash was 25 when he met his son, created in a lab of all things. A clone of Ash himself. He wasn’t even ment to find the poor thing, Aah was after some evil gang of scientists that were trying to forcibly change Pokémon’s DNA to make them more inclined to kill humans. It wasn’t his fault he stumbled into the room during the battle and saw the weird incubator crib that held a sobbing baby of all things.
The poor little thing was wailing, frightened by the fighting and sounds of agony around him. Every evil scientists were dead or taken in by now, Looker breathed next to him as the Officer Jenny of that city had to back out of the room to throw up. His little fists curling as sobs rocked the baby’s body.
“Oh sweet thing.” Ash breathed and reached out. Looker grunted in objection but refused to move from his spot a little ways from Ash. The Chosen One presses against the damaged control plate, thankfully it opened the glass dome over the Baby’s crib without demanding finger prints.
The baby blinked up at Ash, it’s sobs tapering off before coming back full force. Louder now that the thick bullet proof glass wasn’t blocking the sounds. It’s little arms trying to flail about but it’s body was in the way.
“I know,” Ash whispered, reaching out and tentatively brushed one of his non-bloodied knuckles against the soft baby skin, “I know.” He repeated. This time carefully moving around the weird crib to pick the baby up. “I got you, it’s going to be okay. Hush now.” The Chosen One gently shifted back and forth. Trying to calm the baby’s fit, in the process Ash’s eyes caught Looker’s and Officer Jenny who had come back into the destroyed lab room.
Officer Jenny’s face twisted into a painful grimace as Ash purposeful stepped on a dead scientists arm. The sound of bones snapping thankfully didn’t set the baby in Ash’s arms off again. “What are we going to do?” She asked hesitantly, looking over to Looker since he is the main person leading this break in along with the Chosen One. “With the baby and all? It does have your DNA Mr. Ketchum.” Jenny clarified.
Both Looker and Ash breathed out in tandem. Giving each other looks and glares, a whole nonverbal conversation the Officer couldn’t follow.
Looked suddenly reached out and clapped a heavy hand on Ash’s least unwounded shoulder. “Whelp!” Looker coughed slightly into a curled fist, “looks like your a dad now, Ash.” With that Looker swept out of the room, his voice booming for some Officer to bring him some adoption papers and if they have any birth certificate in the patrolling cars.
Ash paled. He was to young to be a dad! And what about his other responsibilities? He can’t have a baby when the Gods are constantly coming and stealing him away in their time of need. A baby would complicate everything. And yet...
He looked down, his panic slowly dissipated at the sight of the sleeping baby. His little chubby hands were curled into Ash’s tattered shirt that was more wrags than anything now from the fight. The baby’s cheek was even more pushed out from where it was leaning into Ash’s chest. The more he thought about it, the more Ash realized that he can’t give this baby up and away to some random couple. If he’s just like him, being a clone and all, then the baby would have Ash’s natural aura as well as everything else when he was this age.
God dammit, Ash doesn’t have the time for this! He’s already late to that stupid Christmas holiday get away thing the Council has made. Using his property no less. And now he’s going to have to bring a damn baby along and explain everything that happened!
Ash is so not ready for this.
