I suddenly got the mental image of young freshly formed Remus, a bit traumatised from the split. Finding freshly formed Janus who is a skittish and hissy little baby snakeling, not yet used to all his arms and doesn't fully know how to speak yet, it's mostly hisses and squeaks.

And Remus is instantly endeared to this lil bugger, he will kill for this lil bugger if asked. But first, they need to get something to eat.

and maybe little Janus is terrified of everything, but Remus is safe, Remus is a constant. Remus understand the different meaning behind his hisses.

I just want the image of smal Remus with an even smaller Janus clinging to him like a koala or baby monkey XD

started thinking about this again...

Maybe kid Remus meets the core sides again, and he was just looking for something safe for smol Janus to eat from the kitchen... only to end up in a argument with kid Roman and kid Patton about something

Maybe Remus is holding little Janus hidden under his own cape, to maybe hide him from the others, because if they don't like him, he doubt they'll like Janus.

Only Janus does not like the argument, and managed to wrangle free only to start hissing and spitting like a protective angry kitten at them, maybe he even manages to bite-

His sudden appearance is enough to disperse the argument/fight, and make both Patton and Roman to run away from them both.

Remus is a bit surprised at the suddenness, before he just beams, gushing all over little Janus who squeaks and hisses back at him.

Maybe kid Logan appears while Remus is preparing food, and Janus who was perched on his shoulders just growls and puffs up in warning.

Logan just blinks once, twice before he nods in acceptance, giving them a wide berth as he fixes himself a cup of iced coffee.

Logan: Growing snakes eats a lot, make sure he gets the nutrients he needs. Remus: :0 Logan: If you need any help, my room will be open. Remus: Oh!

Remus *at Patton*: You're my significant other. Patton: Yeah I am! Remus *at Janus*: You're my child. Janus: If I must. Remus *at Logan*: You're my bitch. Logan: Wait, what? Remus *at Virgil*: My bestie~ Virgil: Naturally. Remus *at Roman*: HA, GAY! Roman: Fuck you!

Remus *appearing on Virgil's couch, holding and ice pack over one of his eyes*: Never mess with somebody who's shorter than you, they can pick up rocks quicker... Virgil *scrolling his phone, unbothered by Remus's arrival*: Janus threw a rock at you, didn't he? Remus: Yes. I wonder who he learned that from? *stares at Virgil* Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm~ Virgil *shrinking down into his hoodie sweating*: ... I apologise for my wrong doings... In my defence I was left unsupervised... with a fucking toddler. Remus *groans*: You were a teenager! Virgil: I don't know how kids work! I COULD HAVE KILLED HIM SOOOOOOO MANY TIMES!

Teen Virgil: *getting downstairs for breakfast* Kid Janus *sitting at the kitchen table waiting*: Good morning! Remus: The baby's speaking to you, say 'Good morning'! Teen Virgil *sitting down next to a half asleep tween Orange*: ... And? Remus: *about to throw himself across the kitchen island to fight a child*

My brain: Now, what if you used these specific lines from Pearl "Why won't you just let me do this for you Rose!" as well as prety much everything from Rose's Scabbard. Me: uuh... My brain: But~ make it dad King (original creativity) and dad Remus and Janus just missing his first dad. Me: Angst. you're back in the angst trenches I see. Me: The twins def remember stuff even if Remus remembers more than Roman does (being due to the proximity of said snake).
