The evil of lack of action
Spoilers for chapter 188 of Beastars:
True evil is not always what you do, it can also be the lack of action. To know that something should be done and not do it. To clean your hands and stay away from something simply because it could somehow harm you or be inconvenient for you.

He was an adult, he KNEW what he signed up for when he decided to date a big cat. But he left once he decided he did not have the stomach to stay with a woman who might eat him one day. He left her to raise a hybrid child alone. Leaving your child and wife is bad enough as it is, but leaving a HYBRID child is extra horrible since they have so many difficulties growing up. And it messed up his wife who went bonkers and mistreated her own son.
And he smiles as he excuse it by claiming that “any guy” would have done the same.
Fucking asshole.
