And it's super frustrating because the world thinks that black people cannot grow hair or have bad hair. Textured hair can grow just as well as straighter hair types, length and all, but so, soooo many black people do such destructive things to their hair in the pursuit of the standard that it becomes impossible for the length to be achieved.
yes, right? and it's really sad to see all of these colored women destroying their hair with relaxers and whatnot all of the time just so their hair is 'white girl hair'. it may be easier to deal with but it's really not worth it in the long run, especially when you realize that your hair is breaking off instead of actually growing correctly. -3-;;;
