yo rhells demo on steam is "similar to other games" such as shadow of mordor and the witcher, which is cool and all, but not at all the vibe or gameplay I was thinking. anyways its a good demo
byeah steam decided similar games automatically based on Rhells tags :v
it having the fantasy tag has doomed me (thanks for enjoying the demo tho!)
Are all rhells frames hand drawn? If so, what art program did you use?Roughly how many frames are there? And is there a reason that sprite is 500x750
Yup! Aside from the snowball form (because she is 3d) every Rhell frame and every NPC frame is hand drawn
I use clip studio paint for drawing all of the 2d art in Rhell
Usually most animations for Rhell are 6-12 frames each, and has a versions for facing forwards, diagonal front, side, diagonal back, backwards. So on average each action has about 30-60 frames per action.
Honestly I have never counted the total animation frames but if I had to guess maybe over 5000
And thats just a cropped screenshot :b for frames I usually draw on 2048x2048 this is because for Rhell she is projected onto a 3D plane, so that I can apply lighting to her
