So...my dad died this morning.

It's unfortunately been a long time coming, especially over the past several months to a year.

Thank you for everything.

All of the outings, all of the times you helped me with homework when I was younger, all of the fucking random sports (mostly baseball) things I know and can infodump to people about (I somehow end up picking guy friends who don't know sports, lol), listening to me talk about my interests, just...a lot of stuff.

At least you are no longer suffering.

My mom is never gonna date again probably or get remarried and I’m glad bc I don’t want to see my mom kiss anyone lol but also I would really like a nice stepfather :l theydies raise ur hand if u have a complicated relationship with ur dad 🙋‍♀️❤️

Connor had a great relationship with his father, even if it wasn’t the most perfect. He passed a long while ago, and he hasn’t taken it well. He really needed this for closure.

I haven’t seen Infinity War but the number of people saying that events in that movie prove that Thanos “really” loved Gamora and Nebula as a father and that this is some kind of redeeming quality is really quite telling! How low is the cultural bar for fathers that LITERAL THANOS gets the “well, he did his best, maybe he just didn’t know how to show love?” benefit of the doubt AS HE IS TRYING TO DESTROY THE EARTH, just because one of his victims showed some emotion about her relationship with him!
