The Land of the Morning Calm
After two fights, one layover, one bus ride, and a lot of waiting in lines...I am officially in South Korea!!!
I left Friday night at 9:15 for the airport and arrived at 12:00 on Sunday morning at the airport. My first flight was fourteen hours long, but I slept four about 6-7 hours of it off and on. They also served dinner, lunch, and breakfast (in that exact order) which split the time up a bit...and then I passed the rest of the time by watching Ant Man and Avengers 3, doing a face mask, and peeing A LOT (gotta stay hydrated on those long haul flights, guys). The woman next to me stole my seat by the window and the attendant just told me to sit in her seat, which bothered me at first but it ended up working out because I stood up a lot to stretch and go to the bathroom, and for some reason there was no seat next to me so I had an extra big aisle.
I arrived in China around 4:30 AM and spent 4 hours in a mostly empty airport, which was actually pretty cool.
The sun was rising and there was walls of windows on both sides, is it was really pretty. I spent a lot of the time walking up and down the long concourse to get some exercise in.
After that there was a two hour flight and that was it! Korean pavement soil was underneath my feet!
So yea, I’m here safe and sound and spending the next day catching up on LOTS of sleep lol.
Until the next adventure,
Emi
