       a  stolen  moment,  sheathed  in  shadow   ---   it’s  a  miracle  that  they’ve  managed  to  sneak  off  at  all,  the  river  house  packed  to  the  brim,  despite  it’s  impressive  size.  but  what  was  meant  to  be  a  simple  visit  from  the  high  lord  of  summer  turned  into  throwing  quite  the  event  ---  pull  out  all  the  stops,  show  what  a  city  like  velaris  has  to  offer.  it’s  absolute  madness,  chefs  and  performers  and  a  bevy  of  guests.  and  in  the  middle  of  all  the  chaos  is  him  ---  rhysand,  her  rock,  her  anchor,  her  mate.  with  him,  the  noise  fades  to  nothing  ---  words  don’t  need  to  be  spoken  aloud,  she  hears  him  clearly,  silky  tone  invading  her  mind  once  she  lets  her  wall  down. 

             “  and  you  for  i,  ”  she  replies  in  kind,  leaning   up  to  brush  her  lips  against  his  in  the  gentlest  of  kisses.   as  predicted,  it  is  not  enough  (  it  is  never  enough  ) ,  but  there  is  a  party  raging  on  just  on  the  other  side  of  the  wall.  someone’s  bound  to  come  searching  for  their  hosts  sooner  or  later.  but  for  now,  she  is  content  to  stay  just  like  this.

      𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌 from the moment he enters – even with only an audience of one. She’s got plenty of work ahead of her – with her focus on the studio, she’s been shirking some of her high lady duties ( & although Rhysand insisted he could take care of things for the both of them, she always wanted to do her part), but her focus is already drawn from the task at hand towards an endeavor far less productive ( yet rewarding in it’s own ways ). “Rhysand,” she coos, reaching out a slim finger to beckon him closer, “cancelling our afternoon appointments is a terribly irresponsible idea, don’t you agree?” Her lips say one thing, but her eyes say another, a wicked glint revealing her true intentions.
