     “No, no. Um.” Irinushka’s hands trembled, the map held between them quivering in its place. She could feel her partner’s stare driving, cutting into her back. It was dark above them, around them, beneath them. The sun had fallen beneath the canopy of the forest and in the arriving dusk the shadows brushed together and held. This was no quest. There was no reward riding on the completion of this task. But they should have returned before sunset and they hadn’t even reached the objective: the cottage at the mountain base. 

     Behind her was a full-time member, a rather intimidating member, and she was the recruit. She held the map. She was at fault. Irinushka blinked back welling tears of frustration and rage, all directed at herself. “I...I’m sorry. I’ve gotten us completely lost. I can fix it, though! I can try! I’m sorry.”

12. Greatest weakness

“Wouldn’t YOU like to know?” Mizuki said in a quiet voice. “I don’t have a weakness, there is nothing you can do to count me out.” Mizuki’s great weakness is the thing she relies on most, her luck, it’s both strength and weakness in it’s own name since lucky is finicky. Though like most Mizuki had more than one weakness, she holds her friends very close and if they were threatened to be hurt she may surrender in an instant.

 Most of the tavern’s customers didn’t dare get close to Baranir without Astorel beside them - and she really did understand why - so it was a very nice sight to see someone with the stones to approach him. Of course, she did keep an eye on them just in case something happened, but the two seemed quite calm.

 Baranir, in particular, seemed very happy with the attention after the busy day kept his partner busy, lolling back with a joyful grumble as Ahyoung’s hand ruffled his fur. It was very strange, seeing a large, war-scarred bear relaxing as a dog would after getting its attention for the day, but he continued anyway, as bears don’t care what humans think is impossible.

Bullying a dragon was never a wise idea, playing a prank on a dragon was however a completely different thing. In the past years, ever since Ahyoung had joined the guild, Kudava never even once managed to tickle some kind of interesting reaction out of the mighty creature, but today, today she was determined to change this! After all there is no way that she’d lose to anyone, be they human, dragon or even a god!

      “Mistress! Mistress Ahyoung! You must be hungry, so I prepared a meal for you! Yes, I bet you’ll like it!” Roasted boar, it is, a whole one. Nevermind that she stuffed that thing with enough chilli peppers to kill a human. This should be enough to get a dragon to roar, right? (She’s usually a good cook, unless she wants to get on someone’s nerves.)

for a brief moment, she acts like that of a normal girl when presented with such a situation ( she giggles lightly, yet no attempt to free herself is made ) she simply allows it to occur for she knows if something ill intended were to occur, it would leave injury on both ends. yet, she doubted such considering this transpired from a very obvious misstep on her part, ending in her tripping. she had braced herself for impact with the ground, yet was met with the swift movement of arms catching and shifting her to this type of position.

Flora stood at the counter gripping onto the wood at the edge the tears from her face dripping down onto the wood as she stared over at the empty chair near the stairs to the upper floor. Flora’s mother been feeling too unwell to come down and help run the store a bad sign that was quickly starting to get to Flora the longer she stood there looking at the chair. After a few minutes she broke out into straight crying and trying to cover her face as she did so, she was trying to avoid looking at the chair now. And almost at the worst time the bell hung on the front door rang as a customer walked in slightly startling Flora making her jump and grip onto the counter as tears dripped down. “Gah! Oh uh...we-welcome to Floral wonders...I uh...i can help you in just a minute...i just...need to calm down...”

     “Ex-Excuse me!” Beneath her feet, there had been ground. Now, she was in the air. Or more precisely, she was in someone’s arms. Irinushka stiffened in the woman’s grasp. She had walked into the bar. That was all she had done. Had there been a bet? Some dare? Well, that didn’t matter! She was being carried as if she were some new bride by that long-term guild member. By the one who looked as if she could silence stars. She was shocked, too stunned to cover her maddeningly red face. “I would prefer to be on my feet again, please.”
