Hey, I think I sent this ask before, so if I did but you just haven't gotten to it yet, I'm super sorry for being impatient! But I was reading Dragon Jaws a while back and I really love it, but I was just wondering if reader has ever met any of Daemon's gold cloaks? I know that they all really respected and were loyal to Daemon, and did eventually start hanging out with Baela, but at the same time, they aren't really the most honorable or moral of men, so I'm not too sure how well that would go over with Daemon

He wants them away from reader. Reader is his little girl and these guys are just rascals. It's the same with the dragonseeds (just that he's even more careful with them) but he also trusts them to some extent. Like, will he put his life on the line knowing they will protect him? Sure, would he entrust your safety to them? Yes, will he let them be close enough as to strike s conversation with you? No
Daemon is self aware enough to know that he is a bad man and he wants anyone remotely similar to him out of your life
As for Baela, he trusts her to be able to just feed them to Moondancer if they get a little too smart with her, but make no mistake, he also watches over Baela and is ready to maim or kill anyone who talks of her in a way he doesn't like
