Speaking of my Hollow Knight/Silksong AUs
Imma make a list of my AUs (and their summaries) before I forget them and/or they merge in my mind
Spoilers ahead:
Unwilling Prophet AU: Silksong AU, mostly from Hornet's POV. Hornet inherits her father's foresight. Seeing the future sounds good and all, except no one believed her in Hallownest and it made those of Pharloom want to kidnap her not only for her silk and shell, but also so she acts as a early warning system. Hurt/Comfort, mostly hurt. My girl is not having a good time.
Weaver Goddess AU: Silksong AU, mostly from Hornet's POV. Focuses on the aftermath of the Weaver Queen ending. Hornet can finally go home! Except she has to make sure Pharloom doesn't collapse the moment she takes her eyes off of it. Some Hurt, mostly Comfort, they're recovering from a tyrannical ruler that f'd their system so badly they'll basically have to demolish everything and build a new one.
Our Daughter Now AU: Hallownest and Silksong AU. Almost everyone's parental instincts get activated after looking at Hornet too long. Hornet suffers from severe baby face and it's messing with the adult's minds. On one hand it lowers the amount of people trying to kill Hornet, on the other it increases the number of people trying to capture her. Crack Treated Seriously. Found family except the only thing keeping everyone acting civil is their shared love for Hornet.
Our Children Now AU: Hallownest and Silksong AU. Almost everyone's parental instincts get activated after looking at the Pale Siblings too long. Same as before, excepts it applies to all of the Pale King's children. Crack Treated Seriously. Who needs a convoluted plan to seal a goddess when your children are so cute that said goddess promises to stop fighting as long as you make Her their godmother?
Dreamcatchers And Family Bonds AU: Hallownest AU. Herrah and the weavers aren't fully convinced of the King's plan and thus device their own. The weavers hear the Pale King's plan to contain The Radiance and think 'that doesn't sound reliable', and decided "hey, we already have half a plan to contain another goddess, why not adjust it?". Sadly, the plan wasn't finished before their queen became a Dreamer, and after that they saw no point in trying. But there was still a little spiderling with the hope of seeing her mother awake and, when a stray vessel showed up she decided to give it a shot. Mostly Fluff, the Hurt is keep in less than canon amounts and its mostly implied. Somewhat of a Fix-it AU. Siblings Bonding over trying to get their loved ones back.
The Art Of Wooing The Court Flowers: Hallownest and Silksong AU. The Pale Children lament over their many, many suitors. Having otherworldly beauty, an extensive education and/ or training, immense power and being the children of the King means there's plenty of people that wish to both wed you and bed you. At least they can suffer together. Crack Treated Seriously.
Adoption Spree AU: Silksong AU. Hornet sees a bunch of teenagers and young adults, so she decides to adopt all of them and take them home. Hornet is convinced that being old af and killing a goddess means she has to play mother to most beings in Pharloom. Most of them have issues and she's decided to fix that, ends up helping herself along the way. Fluff and Found Family, Crack Treated Seriously. There's bits of Angst sprinkled here and there, but sometimes the antiseptic you apply stings, and it still helps you heal.
Find Your People, Find Your Home AU: Hallownest AU. After The Radiance gets killed and the infection is no more, the survivors try to make the best of their circumstances. Heavily inspired by @dooblebugss own take on it, I've decided to try and make a Somebody Lives/Not Everyone Dies type of story. Hurt/Comfort and Found Family.
Cogwork Family AU: Silksong AU. Hornet inherits her father's love for both creation and engineering, the Twelfth Architect wishes to have an apprentice and the robots in the Cogwork Core are in need of some love. Hornet becomes an architect and ends up finding comfort with her new, robotic family. Fluff and Found Family.
Feral Little Spider AU: Silksong AU. Hornet's instincts go hardwire from the stress of being kidnapped, and her mixed heritage makes matters a lot worse. What do you get when you have the genes of a mythological creature known to decimate entire kingdoms on a whim, and then you mix them with a race infamous for their dangers and for being ruthless hunters? That's right! You get a ticking time bomb of a girl. Hurt/ Almost No Comfort, no one is having a good time, Slowburn but instead of romance is a happy ending.
Girl Of No Home AU: Hallownest and Silksong AU. Hornet has always been "other", no matter how much she wished it was otherwise. To belong, to be part of the whole, is it too much to ask? Hornet never fit quite right with anyone, no matter how much she tried. Not a bug, not a beast, not a weaver, not a wyrm. Always an angel, never a god. Princess of two kingdoms, daughter of three queens, one of a kind and the favorite of no one. Hurt/No Comfort, Angst. Vaguely inspired by the world's loneliest whale.
Hallowed Sword AU: Hallownest AU. The Pale King decides to not only make His daughter a Sentinel, but to turn her in His perfect sword. A Pale Gift to the people of Deepnest. Well-meaning but misguided, The Pale King misinterprets Herra's request for a strong heir as her seeking a guard for her people, and so He does His best to uphold His side of the bargain. Eventual PK Redemption, Hornet gets Pure Vessel treatment. Hurt/Comfort, Angst with a Happy Ending.
