Day 89 of 365 - Daffodil Tour - we spent the day in Gloucester Virginia home of the Daffodil Festival. The highlight was the Garden Tour at @brentandbeckys Bulbs. Brent took us to their home garden and explained the history of the family business operating since 1900. As we walked through rows and rows of 100s of varieties of daffodils, Brent would stoop down and pick a few stems and hand them to us while explaining the history and variations of each bloom. Drink LOCAL at the Gloucester Daffodil Festival 2019 Beer Garden

You know it’s beginning to feel a lot like spring when the annual warmer weather events - and BEER GARDENS - start to get promoted! 

And that’s just what happened this morning, and we’re telling you first, here, on our local blog.

We’ve just learned that the Gloucester Main Street Association, in partnership with VersAbility Resources’s Puller Center and Kelsick Specialty Market, are THRILLED to announce that the BEER GARDEN at the Daffodil Festival is returning again this year! 

You may recognize the Gloucester Main Street Association - as the Gloucester Village - and VersAbility Resources - as two of our friends featured in Volume 4 of The Scout Guide Williamsburg and The Chesapeake Bay. 

Be sure to plan on coming by the Puller Center and Kelsick Specialty Market parking lot on Saturday, April 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for LIVE MUSIC, BEER and FOOD!

The annual Gloucester Daffodil Festival is a celebration of spring and a Gloucester County tradition since 1987. The Daffodil Festival Committee invites you – visitors and vendors alike – to come and enjoy this true community event.

Watch the parade. Meet the Daffodil Festival Queen. Tour the internationally known farms at Brent & Becky’s Bulbs. Enjoy the rides and games. Take part in a talk on gardening, shop the many vendors, or, as we noted above, head over to the Gloucester Main Street Association BEER GARDEN!
