This wasn’t the first time Dag had pulled Avery from his work with no hint as to where they were going except a dress code: ‘wear mostly black. If you have any black leather or rubber wear that too.’ Avery ended up in a silk shirt, slacks, and some gold jewelry. While Dag was in his usual biker clothes minus a shirt and plus some leather bracers. At first Avery thought they were going to a fight of some kind. But in a human city... “Dag, where the fuck are you dragging me to this time?”
“A club. No humans, except maybe snacks. Just us immortals.” Dag seemed relaxed even as they turned down a dark ally.
Behind a building and down a flight of stairs was a speakeasy door. The slot opened and yellow eyes glared at them through the hole. “Password.”
“We’re at the edge of the world. Here there be monsters.” Dag confidently said.
The slot closed, and after a few clicks and sounds of metal on metal the door opens. They were greeted by a mountain troll, who fist pound with Dag as they passed. After a few steps were more stairs, with candles at eye level every few feet. At the bottom was a wooden door with a sign saying this was a neutral zone and that anyone who causes trouble here will get in even bigger trouble and blah blah blah legal stuff. Door opened to the actual club. The room was an open floor plan with a heavy dungen aesthetic. The walls and floor were stone. Along the walls were various chains, cages, and other restraints. Up in the balconies screams and moans could almost be heard over the music. It was a sex club.
Upon realizing this the dragon pinched the bridge of his nose causing his glasses to go up his face a little. “Dag. Have I told you recently how much I hate you?”
The Jotun smirks down at him “Only three times today.” He pats his shoulder before walking off, he knew Avery long enough to know when to give him some space. He waved to a group in a booth and they cheered when they saw him.
Avery blew out a puff of smoke in annoyance before he sat at the bar and ordered a drink.
