found this weird little guy outside a few days ago! I'm assuming it's some kinda moth, though I'm not totally sure

I'm absolutely sure that this is one of the dagger moths, genus Acronicta.

And I'm pretty sure that this is ...

By that token, check out this fluffy friend we met on our walk this morning! I think this is the caterpillar of the American dagger moth. These little dudes can cause skin irritation if handled
